Why go for a complete outsider who lacks experience and then not be prepared for the first few weeks be a disaster?
Unless Toure did a Martin Buchan, on them.

Had a great career at City , not sure if he was the player upset because the club didn’t bake him a birthday cake .
Maybe this sacking proves that being a great player does not guarantee success as a manager.

Hopefully he takes over at Accy, so that when he gets the boot we can have "Kolo goes loco down in Accypulco".

Because its Kolo Toure not Yaya Toure ... or did you not know its 2 different people

Yaya is managing somewhere in Eastern Europe

They are good at Wigan

1 promoted and give manager virtually nothing to strengthen squad
2 give manager a new long term contract
3 sack manager less than two weeks after signing the contact
4 appoint Kolo Touré
5 sack him after just over eight weeks

Yaya is a coach at Spurs academy, Kolo was first team coach at Leicester.

9 in total, 7 Championship matches I know things aren't going well, but to pot him now seems rather kneejerk.

Feels like there's been more sacking in the Championship than usual this season, but I could well be wrong in that feeling.

5 managers in 3 years at Wigan is hardly a sign of a stable club is it.

Hopefully they'll get a new manager bounce for their trip to Ewood though.

I remember watching Kolo warming-up as a sub during our evening game at Anfield…Claret fans were chanting to him:
‘sh1t Ya Ya Toure, you’re just a sh1t YaYa Toure’

fair play to him though…to be fair he was amused and laughing at the chant! :D

Not surprised at all, sometimes owners have to hold their hands up and admit they got it wrong, most important thing is to rectify it asap. They were shipping goals out the ying yang and hadn't won in 9, clearly were heading down without desperate intervention.

He won 1 game in 13 games, prior to being potted by Hibs - his last managerial post. Seems an ideal candidate for a 3 1/2 year deal in The Championship, what could possibly go wrong?

There really is so much wrong in the running of so many football clubs in this country. Absolute madness.

Yes he hardly pulled up any trees during his brief Hibs tenure, I can only surmise he's been appointed for 2 reasons.

1) he's available and therefore cheap.
2) his connection to the club previously as a player.

I'm not convinced he'll be the man to save Wigan, however he might well prove me wrong wouldn't be the first time. :)
