Burnley v Everton next season - who do you want to win?

With the big Dyche love in that was always coming because people can’t let their God go, when we play Everton next season (if they stay up) who would you want to win?

I’m looking forward to daily updates on everything Everton FC on this forum for the next few months.

As a Burnley fan of nearly 50 years, I’m going to to answer, “Everton” to a very daft question.

I assume this is a p**s take, however I do accept your point, Dyche has moved now it's time some Burnley fans did the same, if I'm in attendance when or if we play Everton next season Dyche and any of our former players will get a polite clap prior to kick off, however once the whistle goes they'll be treated precisely the same as any other visiting team.

People are posting what lineup Dyche should play and who he should sign for Everton and I’m the one you’re telling to let it go

I’m sure some will be cheering on Dyche more than our own team just like they did with Trippier in the relegation clash last year.

I'm struggling here

Did you not think Burnley massively over achieved with SD?

Did you think he was a s**t manager all along?

Do you often support other teams v Burnley?

Why do you think people saying "hope Dyche does well at Everton" is somehow people wanting him to win when they play us?

I mean, come off it eh?

We’ve had to endure 3 years of the worst football I’ve seen in 50 years of watching the clarets and people still think he’s some sort of god. As victor meldrew would say I don’t believe it

If you seriously think the last 3 years of Dyche were the worst in 50 years then I despair, Not to say it was attractive by any means, but come on don't you remember the wilderness years in the lower leagues.

I'm not aware of people claiming he's a god, however he did a blooming good job for the majority of his tenure until it went pear-shaped in his final couple of seasons.

Two topics that should be banned on this message board are Brexit and Dyche.

Both very divisive and picked up by some posters to create arguments.

If Dyche brings Everton to the Turf next season, I’d give him a standing ovation when he walked across the pitch before the game and then I’d want to see us hammer his team.

Guess what, those who didn't see the dark days also have there dreams for bfc. They also don't have to look over there shoulder every week and rather look forwards to what can be achieved as to what shouldn't.
I'll say this again and again on here, they said it was as good as it gets staying in the championship, they said it was as good as it gets when we got through the playoffs into the prem, they said it was as good as it gets when we got relegated, they said it was as good as it gets for the 2nd place finish, they said it was good as it gets getting promoted in first place, they said it was as good as it gets stopping in the prem for a season, they said it was as good as it gets when we got to Europe.

Excuse fans who didn't see the dark days for wanting something more than just avoiding dropping to the fourth tier. Many who wanted Dyche out at the time wanted the best for the club despite getting lambasted by certain supporter's for not seeing the dark days and not understanding it was "as good as it gets" for us.

When Kompany keeps us up playing nice football it'll be "as good as it gets" again.

Will always want Dyche to do well. As per most of our former players. You'd have to be a bit of a tit to want him to fail.

Of course when he comes up against us, I hope we grind his team into the ground. Bit like playing your best mate at footy.

We are now in a position where we are the best team in Lancashire by a long long way, and he (amongst others) has helped pave that path, and I for one will be forever grateful.

All this seemed like a pipe dream ten years ago.

ManU play Everton early April. I'm looking forward to Wout Weghorst and his Manchester team mates beating Everton. Of course, it will be interesting to see how Sean Dyche lines up his team, including James Tarkowski, to face Wout Weghorst.

It will also be interesting to see Everton v Brentford and Ben Mee coming up against a Sean Dyche team.

Good luck to Sean Dyche with Everton's relegation battle this season. It may already be too late to avoid the drop.

When was the last time Michael Keane made the match day squad for Everton? Is he injured or just out of favour?

Apparently, there are plans to rename the priny "Bad Kompany" if he takes the Everton job.
Imagine what the pub would like if they stayed up !!!!
