The price isn't too bad if it's well-made. You pay £15-£20 for a brand logo cap.

Yeah, £15-£20 is usual but £25 for ones that are particularly in vogue/in demand. Same across footy, rugby, cricket.

My children (all grown up) get a Mercedes cap at every F1 race, for some reason they want to collect every colour(which they change for each venue) They cost between £70 and £85.
Complete madness if you ask me.

I've been trying to buy one for a while now, they don't look out of place at all here in the States. However, the online shop has some issues and every time I try and checkout it craps out with a "too many redirects" message. Frustrating....but love the cap, hope to be able to buy one one day.

£25 isn't too bad - they're made by New Era who are probably the biggest headwear company in the world. They make all the caps for MLB, the NBA, NFL, NHL etc etc

I buy a lot of New Era caps, and they typically range from £25-40 depending on the design. Those are typically for Snapbacks not Baseball Cap styles though. Seems a reasonable price to me for NE quality. I prefer Snapbacks or I'd buy one for myself.

Me and my lad got a cap at the beginning of the season (not the one VK is sporting more often at the moment, a black one with black badge and a claret one). I'm sure they were £20-25 each (I definitely remember feeling a little pained by the price).
But they are decent quality

Spent £50-75 on caps 20 years ago, £25 is a steal ( if well made )
Decent hats/caps are £100 give ot take these days

Price is about right for a New Era hat. I'd buy one but not a fan of that badge. Always think it looks like BFE.
