I have noticed as the season goes on some occurrences of showboating. .. recently some outrageous and unnecessary interpassing and very often some ridiculous ball control trickery .... well don't like it ......
I LOVE IT

I don’t even think we ‘take the ****’ so to speak. It’s just how we play - controlled possession from the keeper to the forwards. Teams are usually so spent from chasing the ball, they can’t do anything about it. It’s magnificent to watch.

Not so sure about that after watching us against West Brom. It's lucky one got a slight tackle in before they got fed up and went in hard.

That turn from Zaroury was something else. I’ve tried to find footage of it but to no avail thus far.

Dislike it intensely. The great players didn't do it.

If you register for Clarets+ (costs nothing) you can see the whole match.

It’s a fine line between taking the Micky and psychologically pronking your opponents.
I think we’ve stayed the right side of the line, so far.

I don't particularly like it either. However, not true to say that players in the past, great or not didn't do.it. Have a look at Jim Baxter for Scotland at Wembley.in 1967 or even our own Ralph Coates at Ewood Park in 1966 when he sat on the ball.

I think showboating is good as long as you don't go over the top, I remember Leeds v Southampton in old first division and I think Leeds won 7-0 if I'm right in saying + correct me if I'm wrong) and Leeds were taking the **** in my view a bit to far . But like I said a bit of showboating is ok .

Players will only showboat if they are supremely confident and are enjoying it. As long as they are not taunting anyone (too much), they've earned the right to do what they want.
