Have a pint on them all and make your own mind up.
After 1.30 they will all be heaving though.

Bridge is the best pub in town but personally i find it totally intolerable on a matchday.

If you want a football atmosphere then The Turf and Royal Dyche are the only two pubs to go in.
The other pubs, all decent in their own way are just lots of people chatting. Most of the time not even about the game.

I still sit outside the Talbot with a bottle of Taylors reminiscing about what was the best pub,now Circ is good, Bridge is good if crowded 110 or Miners goodcas well.

We went to the Bridge, Loom and Circ pre match on Saturday. Made a pleasant change and really good.

As I'm getting older, I don't relish the pre match pubs in Burnley as I used to when we didn't get such big crowds. I used to like the ones near the ground, especially the miners, but cannot do with having to stand 5 deep at the bar whilst waiting ages to get served, so try others nowadays.
They are all far too busy on a matchday, but for me, Loom, Circ, Bridge, Boot and sometimes Oxford are bearable.
More to do with being a grumpy old man than anything else. But at least in Burnley there is loads of pubs near the ground, even if they are very busy

New Brewm is a great pub (with amazing prices!!) as is the Bridge Beer Huis. Loom is OK, especially if you're hungry, but unfortunately the service soon breaks down when more than 3 people go towards the bar at once. Circ opposite the sorting office has excellent real ale, but soon gets packed as it's rather small.

Another vote for the Circ. They know how to look after their beer and always have some good session ales to pick from. I also like the Bridge, but it gets too crowded now on match days.

Circ - have to get in early for an aeroplane seat upstairs though!
