As per the title thread, does anyone have any recommendations / experience of certain providers please?

surfshark for me, never let me down - they also sponsor pretty much every youtube channel so you can get superb offers/deals

I used Express VPN for a couple of years but ran into problems trying to access BBC IPlayer for the football. It was a bit hit and miss. I've switched to Nord VPN and it's been flawless these past 6 months or so.

I've no great experience or I.T. knowledge, but all I can say is that Surfshark has been excellent for me since I took it out about a year ago.

Have only ever really used Private Internet Access (PIA) for approx 8 years now. Good range of servers, decent customer service and maintains good speeds. Never really had an issue at all - costs 70 euros for 3 years + 3 months free. Or 37 euros for 12 months. I go for 39 months deal as more than happy with PIA. Plenty of very good other providers out there also.

When I was working, our IT 'expert' told me to be wary of free VPN's as you can't always trust their privacy policies and/or how they use and share your data.

I've been using Nord VPN for a few years- very fast and reliable and covers up to 4 devices.

Worth looking on some of those cashback sites to see what VPN deals are on offer.

I actually got the first 2 years free when I signed up to Nord as it was £65 with 100% cashback after 6 months!

Yes, if it's free, ask yourself why, especially with something like a VPN and your privacy.

Lived overseas for 12 years in places like China, Thailand, etc, NordVPN for me. Works everywhere I have ever been and with instant hookup and available on up to 6 devices. Good Luck.

Do VPN's not throttle your bandwidth?

Marginally, I've found Surfshark reduces my speed by about 5%, no more.

It was £40 for 12 months or £60 for 24 months. I got the 2 year deal. My IPTV did a January sale so I save £20 on that

Be careful with your details setting one up.

I got hacked through having NordVPN, tried blackmailing in me etc.. but had the password and email address I used for that.

I used IPVanish for 18 months or so and it was fine. It did it's job, no fuss, no frills.

I now use the VPN that comes (at a reasonable cost) as an extra with Norton.
Again, it works fine, and doesn't seem to affect internet speed.
