Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury

If you care enough...who wins?
I honestly think the bookies have it wrong. I think Fury steams into him from the off and takes him out early doors
Especially after watching the press conference and the way he came across. The Furys wont want a loss at all

My interest in this has grown over the past week or so, maybe because we're a little starved of big fights.
I've only seem TF fight a couple of times and he didn't look great. I saw JP fight and half the time it looked a little like he didn't really know what he was doing, but then again neither did his non-boxer opponents.
TF should win, but maybe the pressure gets to him cos basically his whole career is on the line here. A Fury can't come back from losing to JP.

I see the bookies have jake favourite which I find a bit mind boggling-I mean the YouTuber is fighting the boxer right??? Tommy as not fought anyone but he is meant to be a ‘pro’ but what’s it take to be a pro? It might be that he’s just not going to be any good and this is his way forward to a payday.whatever happens it be embarrassing if fury gets turned over-but for gods sake the BOXER should win.I would say the 6/4 looks a steal but is it too good to be true.

To be fair , even though Tommy Fury is a Pro boxer by profession, he's only had 2 more fights (8) than Jake Paul (6) , Fury's first 5 opponents had a total of 12 wins in 191 fights.
Whilst Paul is known as a YouTuber , Fury is best known as being Tyson Fury's brother and being on Love Island.

After Jake Paul called out Carl Froch and he took the bait a part of me now wants to see that happen. He’d pulverise him.

I'm in the same boat, I originally was desperate for Fury to win to put an end to the 'clowning' of a sport that is very dear to me. Now I'd grudgingly accept a Paul win on the proviso that the Froch fight happens, It could finish 'celebrity ' boxing forever.

Round by Round betting seems like good value to me

Tbf Jake Paul lives the life of a boxer now and trains with top fighters, I think it’s harsh to discredit him as a legitimate boxer, you can turn over as a pro with a handful of amateur fights anyway, I’m pretty sure Fury’s amateur career is minimal, although I know he’s probably been boxing since he was a young lad within the travelling community.
I am actually interested, not sure I’ll watch it though

Anybody who pays £20 to watch this should be issued a lifetime ban from watching all other boxing

The bookies must think there's too much money for Fury if he loses.
The YouTube boxing wagon will keep rolling on, taking the publics money at ease.
There's no money in Fury winning for anyone.

Yeah I agree. It's not like the earlier YouTube events with KSI vs one-of-the-Pauls where they were wearing head gear and using larger gloves.
I'm not fan of JP but it appears he's dedicating his life to the sport at the moment and putting in the training.
Whether he's actually any good or not is still be seen.

I'm probably not the only one who thinks Paul's fights are rigged/skewed in his favour

100% rigged. Just watch his brother's fight with Mayweather and the comments that were going on in that "fight".

JP has to a reasonable fav for a laborious points win .While he’s only fought non boxers and 47yo Silva easily went the distance with him , he’s in v good shape and can take a punch. TF has fought some incredible bums and being 7lbs overweight for an exhibition stunk like a Boxing Day turd. TF’s has an “ arm punching” style as well , though he slips and moves well enough . I’d imagine his “career” has been stage managed exactly for this kind of “ win or lose “ payday.
Fury for PTS win at almost 5/1 looks a decent bet as JP just might find him tricky to hit .

Boxing needs TF to win but it would be hilarious if JP won and knocked him out in the process, just to see the fall out from TFs dad

I don't think Fury has the power to take out Jake or the cardio to outlast him. Jake is the stronger harder hitting guy, Jake win late stoppage or points.

That wasn't a real fight, it was an exhibition with no official winner, KO wasn't allowed, the rules meant they had to go light. This is a real professional fight, two very different things. I'm sorry but anyone who thinks Jake's fights are rigged after seeing the Woodley KO have absolutely no idea.

Really want Tommy Fury to win - mainly because I think it makes a bit of a mockery of the sport if Jake Paul has become competitve this quickly vs. someone who has trained his whole life for it.
Tommy should have more boxing skill, but the pressue on him is huge - Jake Paul has a completely free shot at this fight.

A professional boxer should really not be in a ring with a non boxer.

That the WBC has stated the winner will be top 40 world ranked is quite staggering . To even think of these 2 against a top world 40 ranked opponent is hilarious as it is dangerous .

Indeed , but the outrageous bums that Fury has fought are little more than club fighters .

I used to think this, but I think it's essentially a different audience. And there's potential for people who don't follow "proper" boxing to get into it via these entertainment bouts. Boxing is in a much better spot than it was 5-10 years ago I think
