Amusing moment today

There was a point when when one of the Huddersfield players sat down on the pitch and referee stopped play to treat his injury.

Warnock explained to our bench that he instructed the player “to go down there... Not to go down there”

VK found it amusing.

Loved how Warnock was cupping his ear to the CFS as soon as he came out the tunnel for the first time today. Absolutely fair play. I like him.

Have you ever seen Warnock close up,I watched him and his team get off the coach once I think it was against Cardiff in the Premier league, did he manage Cardiff?
He looks like he's made out of plastic, the guy looks plastic I couldn't believe my eyes.

🤣 at least he’s enjoying his (apparent) last throw of the managerial dice.

Really hope he keeps Huddersfield up; I respect Huddersfield, a proper traditional town club, just like us.

Much sooner Cardiff or some other southern club goes down

Be kind. Doesn't matter what people look like.

He's a great character and it's probably only due to bad timing that he never managed the clarets.

He was excellent at the end of the game today. Utmost respect to him.

It didn't seem like he's like the Warnock of old. It was like he was in charge of a team partaking in an exhibition match today.

I know what you’re saying. He just didn’t seem bothered enough and I’d be very worried as a Town fan.

He was our man when Coyle left (was at Palace in the Championship at the time and they had financial difficulties).

Not sure about that. He probably just knew early doors today that it wasn’t going to happen. The win against Birmingham last week suggests he’s still got it. The fact he didn’t start the usual captain in Hogg probably indicates that he’s getting set for the next lot of fixtures.

Jeppo was definitely bothered, I was worrying about his health.

Spot on Spice.

I made the same point over 10 years ago to Brendan Flood who fidgeted, cracked his fingers and said that Warnock wasn’t popular the game. Very, very poor judgment.

In Neil Warnock's autobiography he says he was interviewed for the Burnley job but didn't get it

He doesn't say when that was or who was successful. The indication was he would have taken it if offered

Best guess would be when Howe succeeded Laws

Beyond tragic if we appointed Laws over Colin.

Ah well, probably wouldn’t be where we are now

I applauded the old bugger off at the end, which tbf is very easy to do after you've won 4 nowt, and I actually thought most people were doing the same, even the CFS, but i did notice some at the front giving him dogs abuse which in the circumstances I thought was unnecessary and a shame, especially bearing in mind he's bloody 74!

He was milking it before kick off, never seen a bloke walk across pitch as slow, using this as a retirement tour, waving goodbye to people they have boo’d him over the years

I think this was the Summer of 1998 when he’d left Oldham. Instead we appointed Stan and Warnock replaced Stan at Bury.

We most certainly could and should gave appointed him in January 2010,

We had morons giving their fans and team abuse all game with songs, giving a side grief who are bottom of the league says more about you than them
There was just no need, enjoy our moment

We’re never going to have an easier game are we?

The manager of the opposing team downed tools and gave up before the first whistle, and his bad cop side kick tried to bully his nonchalant players all match with his head on the verge of exploding.

"Barnesy playing like Pele" 🤣 brilliant ...

Heres a bit from Colin in the Burnley Express...

"I wish I'd managed a team like that. The two wide players are as good as anything in the country, let alone the Championship, and it's so exciting to watch those players.

"You've got Barnesy playing like Pele, what can you do? I've always loved [Johann Berg] Gudmundsson, he's an 8/10 every week, sometimes a nine, never seven or six. They're the rock of the team, you need them to get promotion from the Championship. He's a different class."

With more than 800 games under his belt in the Championship, and its various other guises, Warnock's words carry some considerable weight. It isn't just white noise.

The funniest thing yesterday was a couple of fans in the toilets in the JHU at half time saying "its not done yet"

Unclear whether it was the game or the league but it did make a fair few people laugh

Is Jepson the assistant manager? Noticed he got a good reception from the CFS when he came out. Quite a bit of work to do for Warnock.
