Could have been 7-0 and it wouldn't have flattered us.

It wouldn't.
Second half turned into basically a kick about in a training session.

I missed the Preston game and was feeling exactly the same as you!

I’d say we were a little better than the PNE game yesterday, but both fantastic performances. Huddersfield and PNE comfortably the two worst teams we’ve had at Turf Moor, I’d struggle to choose who was the ‘better’. Both sides looked two divisions lower than Burnley I’d say.

We basically purred from start to finish and there was barely one mis placed pass, lack of instant control or aimless ball. Even when Maatsen got unfortunately injured he was making an absolutely amazing tackle in the box. We were superb, but we were definitely aided and abetted by a truly hopeless Udders Feeled side who gave us acres and acres of space to play in, rarely pressed us or made any "fruity" tackles or challenges and basically seemed to play from the outset with the notion that anything under 5 would be a good afternoons work. They were so far off us it wasn't just like watching a training ground kick about for the last 20 minutes, it was like that from the start. I know Warnock has only been there a week, but they were so poorly set up and their tactics so weird and they just seemed to jog around inviting a brilliant footballing side to simply murder them. So we did. Strange game.

Our easiest 90 minutes of the season certainly sounds like it.
And 4 different scorers, delighted for Brownhill to finally bag again he's came close these last few weeks, and his displays deserved a goal.
Is there a fear factor for teams coming to TM it certainly seems that's the case, and Huddersfield offered nothing yesterday as well as we played.
The one sour note is Maatsen's injury but hopefully it's not as bad as initially feared.

Super, super football. Yes THAT pass from Roberts to Tella for him to create the fourth goal was fantastic, sublime.

It is ironic that after over 60 years of watching BFC I am unable to attend, at the moment due to a total hip replacement 2 weeks ago. Just when we are playing sublime football!! I'm targeting the Sunderland game on 1st April for my return. By which time we may well be promoted. Great report as always CT.

Just watched the game back. There’s a beautiful moment in the first half, after another slick passing move, where the crowd are just applauding with admiration … no chants or shouts … just pure appreciation

Are there still people complaining about passing it around too much and shouting "just get the bloody ball forward"?

No they seem to have decided to attack Muric instead now.
If fans can't embrace this style of play we're delivering then they'll never be happy.

Just like it's not right to kick long every time, it's not right to play it out from the back every time, so yes, quite rightly on occasions some will shout that.

Quite rightly. Haha. I would say a team with the most goals scored in English football right now has a better clue what’s right and wrong than retired plumber Steve on row F.

Those passes by Ekdal and Roberts were what you'd expect from a top playmaker.

And sometimes that very team plays it long... So you're not as clever, or funny as you think you are.

I was talking to someone yesterday and we commented on this. Not much chanting but just a constant noise around the ground in total appreciation at what was happening. My brother said to me during that first half that he'd never seen football like this at Burnley. I know we've played at a higher level in the past, and that test will come next season, but what I witnessed on Saturday, albeit against one of the league's lesser teams, was unbelievable.
We kicked off the season at Huddersfield back in July and we were all mesmerised by half time. We were just staring at each other in disbelief at what we'd witnessed. I watched that game again while I was sat at home ill, make no mistake we've improved significantly since then as good as it was that night.
I've seen some great seasons watching Burnley. This one is right up there and once we've reached our goal, as we surely will, then we can all look back on it and try to take it all in.

So, the team knows what they are doing, is what you are saying? This would make shouts by some not 'quite rightly' at any point

It's been a fantastic season, and like you, I realised at half time in the first game that something special was happening, but didn't think it would be as good as this.

Sometimes even our players might just get it wrong every now and again, and if they do it's only natural that some in the crowd might get it right in what should have happened.
Granted you need to be there, and see it, and not just rely on stats

Lol I watch every same second of football as anyone who is ‘there’ and have spent more money to get to games this season than most season tickets holders, but you can keep using that stick if you want.

Aye. noticed this too. My mate commented that the atmosphere was a little flat considering what we'd just seen in the first half, but I genuinely just think it was fans in total appreciation of what they were watching. The ones around us on the Longside - and I'm talking some real tough to please, long in the tooth types - were just applauding and marvelling. It was sensational. One guy just kept saying 'Brilliant Burnley!' almost repeatedly, and he wasn't wrong.

Sadly we have an element of the fan base who don't like Muric, this results in them boring the arse of most others with dull comments about him

There's an element of the fan base who don't like him, and won't accept he does anything well
There's an element of the fan base who absolutely love him and don't believe he does anything bad
Then there's the sensible fans who see he does somethings well, and other things not so well, but should they point out the good bits, or bad bits, one of the first two groups will jump on them and question their football knowledge, age or mental wellbeing.
