Absolutely. I can see he’s a good player, just so nervous at the moment. He’ll come good

I think he’ll be better against teams that give a bit more space to run into. From all the clips I’ve seen his best work in done running at players in the channels and using strength/pace. At the minute he’s being trained into a new system to drop deep and try link play, rarely seeing him stretch his legs. Incidentally the few times he did he looked dangerous.

Not good enough, lightweight and shite.
Well it worked for Benson, so....

He did a few nice flicks and was very unlucky with one near the end.

Why he’s our player. Need to get him up to speed. New country new system. Trust VK he knows what he’s doing

Don't think anyone can say they've been impressed with him so far.
Would imagine he was heavily watched to spend that kind of money on him though and will be given a lot more opportunities.

Definitely looks like one for the future but his style of play look more like a Weghorst as someone who works hard, presses and looks more to link play and pass it to others rather than a natural/selfish goalscorer.
Not good enough to be starting at the moment over any of our strikers but VK obviously thinks he has a lot of potential

When he was clean through he didn't look quick vs League 1 opposition. But I'm willing to give him time as he might not be fully match fit. At the moment, I'm surprised at the amount we spent on him.

To be fair I thought he had a shocker and looked way off it. I'm happy to give him time though and don't really give a toss after winning but he should have scored that one he tried to lob.

At the moment I'm struggling to understand how he might fit our system. As you say he probably looks best with some space running to goal, but with the way we play we'll rarely get a striker into those positions. We're better off with a striker whose natural game is to drop deep and link play, not one who needs a lot of training in it.
I can only think we've got one eye on the PL and are thinking we'll be defending deeper and our strikers will get more space to run at goal?

He had two guilt edged chances. It was good he was given a chance tonight but any striker worth his salt takes easy chances and he should have scored two, just as Twine should have got one

Gets into good areas he's just snatching at his chances ATM, a goal would certainly settle him down.
Difficult to judge him tonight as Fleetwood simply sat deep and prevented the space for him and others to operate in.
Need to give him time not his fault he's came with a big price tag, and it can often be awkward for players who move mid season to get up to speed straight away.

Yeah that was my thoughts too. Not gonna face a team that defends that deep in the PL. Then the link up side I guess just needs time and coaching from VK.

I don't think anyone really understands the situation with Dervisoglu.
Perhaps he has a deal lined up elsewhere?

The videos I watched of him when he signed showed his pace and quick movement, not sure if they are recent videos but he really doesn’t look the same player. I’m not even sure that he fits our system.

Looks like he has the same YouTube video creator as Remco VDS
In seriousness, he looks bereft of confidence and not much aside a few nice flicks came off for him tonight. Hopefully a goal gets him up to speed although his price tag does worry me, currently.

It looks to me as though he’s being asked to work on areas of his game that perhaps he hasn’t had to before. He should certainly have scored one though.
He’s shown a few promising signs, alongside some not so good. He definitely needs time and patience. I’d like to see him being a bit stronger and more aggressive - which will hopefully come as he develops, adapts and builds a bit of confidence.
A goal today would have done him the world of good.

His positioning looks poor. At the moment he is second to everything, even against League One defenders.
Looks like he has a lot going for him with his speed and he looks strong, but he has had a few now and hasn't shown much at all. Fingers crossed it clicks for him soon.

I really don't understand how he is even getting game time at the moment. He is miles off the rest of the team.
I know he needs time to settle, but playing games and not finding his feet won't help.

Foster struggled tonight and didn't look as if he could or would score.
But then again neither did any one else.
I think we had 30 attempts but very few were even close to clear cut chances.
Fleetwood defended admirably but we didn't look as if we could score.
Zaroury wasted a lot of potential chances.
We've yet to devise a way of comfortably beating lower league teams.
There wasn't anyone who stood out.
Still onwards and upwards.
We'll need to play much better against Blackpool and Wigan.
Hopefully VK will get a few things sorted by Saturday.

Yes I agree.
He has looked good in parts, but VK did him no favours tonight by starting him, and then for keeping him on at the expense of Obafemi, who looked good alongside Tella last weekend
Keeping him on just increased the pressure on him.
(One of the very few decisions that VK has made that I have disagreed with this season)

I felt for him tonight. He ended up trying a little too hard and became too inconsistent.
His touch at times was excellent and he’d pick the right pass (when others may have spun and been greedy). But then he’d try a flick and it wouldn’t come off, or he’d rush onto the ball and it would bounce off.
His hard work and press made his first chance and his movement the second but unfortunately his finishing was poor.
Tough game for the attackers really as Fleetwood didn’t leave their area. The sending off made no difference as instead of playing 5-4-1 they just played 5-4-0z

I would have thought the best way to integrate a new striker ( or any position for that matter ) was to make just the one change , and let the new player fit into the existing team.
To introduce a new player into a new team that includes 4 or 5 changes doesn't stack up for me.

Work rate fantastic but quality on the ball not there yet, has till end of season to work on it then fill pre season will give kompany an idea if he can cut it or not.
Don’t think anyone on social media calling him so soon does any good, the same folk who called benson after Watford away

He has shown very little sadly. At this level and even more so where we’re heading next season, you only get so many chances to prove yourself.
The biggest concern is how often he seems to be caught on his heels. The anticipation just isn’t there.
