I understand that the above pub runs a bus to the Turf for home matches inc Pie n peas ?
Is this correct and does it work well ? Do they run for night matches too ?
Any comments would be most welcome thanks.

Dwight McNeil used it the other week so it must work alright.

Yes they do for all games.
Good pie and peas, good hot beef sandwich. (Haffners pies)
Real ales even better.

Owners are good folk too.

Used it?? He was the driver. Took 2 hours to get to the ground after he kept going round in circles and back towards the pub

Used to drink there in the tap room in mid sixties. Great local pub

It's generally around 30 mins before kick off

Go on Worsthorne Community Facebook. Billet puts all details of match bus every week. You need to book beforehand

Book beforehand, they put 2 buses on if needed. The pie n peas is for weekend games only . No food during the week, so bus only for Tuesday/Weds fixtures.

Fab pub. Always pop in when I am home.

So do you think there will be no pie n peas on a Friday night then ?

Nope. Haffners deliver the pies on Saturday mornings. The food is usually just served Saturday and Sunday days.

To be fair to Dwight, he had a new boss for a couple of months who encouraged him to drive towards his destination as fast as he could, although the 'toxic' passengers were unimpressed with the quality of his driving. Then new boss got sacked and the old boss came back...

They will have Haffners Pies on Friday night.

Used to go on a sunday night to play cribbage , one for his knob lol, used to have pie and peas two
