A new club record achieved today

1 Ian Maatsen
2 Josh Brownhill
3 Jay Rodriguez
4 Nathan Tella
5 Samuel Bastien
6 Vitinho
7 Taylor Harwood-Bellis
8 Manuel Benson
9 Connor Roberts
10 Anass Zaroury
11 Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson
12 Halil Dervişoğlu
13 Ashley Barnes
14 Josh Cullen
15 Jordan Beyer
16 Scott Twine
17 Hjalmar Ekdal
18 Michael Obafemi
19 Lyle Foster

19 different goalscorers in a league season, beating the 18 in 2010/11 and I think that's a new club record.

Incredible achievement amongst a number of those this season. I’ve never seen a Burnley team with such an ability to change personnel from one game to the next and you really don’t miss the injured player. Unreal squad depth of like for like quality and first class coaching.

Brilliant stuff.
I see Tellas double today took him to 16 goals. Fantastic.

I just don't believe Southampton have better strikers.
Phil Bird was wondering aloud on Comms why they lent him out.
(Glad they have, though.) 🙂

I wonder if we'll give Muric a penalty towards the end of the season.

19 is brilliant in this wonderful season. It doesn't seem that long ago that we didn't have so many first team players

A Bailey Peacock-Farrell ladt moment header for a winner at City could add to the list too.

I’ve been saying for a while that if alls done and dusted by the last game of the season, Vinnie should bring BPF for Barnes and “do a Pearce” by sticking Muric up front

I mentioned the 19 different scorers as soon as Foster scored his very good goal…Kompany said early season that he wanted goals from all positions.
The squad has certainly answered the call!
Well done Burnley! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Interestingly, when Barnes went off there wasn’t one player on the pitch who’s taken a penalty for Burnley.

Looking at records, it is possible that this might be our best ever season in terms of points return. Others may correct me, but it looks to me like our 1897/98 promotion team currently holds that accolade. They won 20 and drew 8 of their 30 games, so 68 points from a 30 game season, the equivalent of 104.26 points over 46 games: we need 8 wins and a draw from our last 10 to better that. We will struggle, however, to get the 123 goals required to match their scoring prowess!

Think we've half a chance of Cork or Churlinov bagging before the end of the season to get us to 20, which would be nice. Though Cork isn't getting much game time of late. I was surprised to see him not get a start again Wigan given Brownhill was out, but who are we to question. Another 3-0 routine home win!

I'm guessing we won't see Costelloe again this season, I presume he'll stay at Bradford for the play-offs if they are in them.
Same for McNally and Egan Riley so none of them will be scoring for us. Al Dakhil and Churlinov are probably the most likely to join that list. Unbelievable that Taylor has only ever scored for Leeds.

We gained 24 points in our last 10 games, do the same again and we'll finish on 104 points. That 106 target is still a massive challenge, we'd need to win 8 and draw 2 to match it or win 9 to go beyond it.

With 71 goals scored we're unlikely to get to 100 goals, we've scored 19 times in the last 10 games, we'd need to up that to 3 goals a game which isn't looking likely right now.

We can't match any records for our unbeaten run this season but we could still get to 23 or more.

Are there any other records that we might achieve?
