Just listened to VKs presser and he was asked about Vieras sacking. His response was very clear, analytical, fulsome and he didn't sit on the fence. Excellent as we've come to expect.

And when you analyse what VK actually said re Palace, very true.

Would have been nice if they could have added subtitles for the Belgian questions.

Well, any concerns we might have had about Kompany going to work for Steve Parish can be forgotten for the time being. He spoke excellently on the Vieira sacking there.

With the rumours that Palace may be after Kompany, from listening to the interview. I don't think Kompany will be interested in working for Palace.
He is a man of integrity

Very impressive when you consider it was in Dutch!
So when you add French and German that's super impressive. Not listed as having Flemish. Assume he has that but maybe not.

What a man.
Even when he was speaking Flemish (?) I was hanging on every word.

Sorry, assumed Flemish with the Belgium reference.

His answer to the Palace question was pretty clear and concise. He's a proper mensch.

isn't Flemish/Dutch very similar (if not the same?)
Anyway, slightly worried about how much he knew about Palace and not sure Palace fans will agree with him that they are over achieving to be 12th and not in the bottom three

Dutch and Flemmish are practically the same.
It's the Dutch dialect that is spoken in the Flanders area of Belgium.

VK is clearly a personal friend of Viera’s dating back to their time together at City but I loved the way he criticised the Palace board using logic and precision. Bearing in mind the run of games they’ve had and the much easier ones to come it looks a nonsense decision. There again plenty said the same when Pace sacked SD and that seems to have turned out ok.

VK speaks English that well I almost forgot his first language is Flemish/Dutch.

I work with a guy in Estonia and a guy in Belgium both from those countries - they both speak, write and spell English better than half the British population!

It’s like Scottish and English. The same language but then again not quite the same
Dutch part of the interview can be summarized as: tough tough tough game but we’ll do all that is possible to cause an upset…

Have a feeling VK’s first language is French which apparently was a bit of an issue at Anderlecht according to my Belgian cleaner also a natural French speaker. Belgium seems a very mixed up country and Anderlecht as a club almost dysfunctional. Burnley in comparison must be an absolute dream. Despite appearances on this board to the contrary I’d suggest we as a fan base are united by a passion for the clarets and don’t care a monkeys about religious, racial or political differences.

A number of deluded Palace fans seem to believe that Kompany won't be going to Palace now, after that conference. It doesn't occur to them that he wouldn't have been going to Palace before the press conference either.

In those team talks that were on Youtube before Kompany came to Burnley, he was speaking English.
