All the money in Saudi Arabia, all the money in the world.......and yet Forest lead 1-0.
Thank God, we do it the Burnley way.

Re: Forest v Toon
How many scissor tackles is this clown going to allow. They are just designed to cause injury, as we saw with Benson. Refs need to clamp down on it.

Why are Newcastle not in black and white stripes with black shorts ?....What's happened to the game ?
Could it be something to do with money ?

Re: Forest v Toon
Just look at all these disillusioned Toon fans behind the Forest goal.
They will now expect all the Saudia Arabian money to buy them the best team in the world.
Meantime, we will continue to do it the Burnley/VK way.

I don’t like all the money in football, particularly where some of it seems to come from but hell, I’d love to see Burnley be able to compete for the best players and biggest prizes.
If it were our club, we wouldn’t like it but the vast majority would love the ride. As a fan, other than voting with your feet, there isn’t much that you can do, leaving you with two options… Stay or go.
As much as I wouldn’t like it, I’d stay!
Re: Forest v Toon
Second from someone that cost them nothing.

There are different ways to do it.......spend infinite amounts of money on the best players in the world or build a team the VK way.......I doubt BFC will ever be the former way.......and be grateful for it.

Re: Forest v Toon
Nothing wrong at all from what I've seen??
Surely the defender swiping the ball in the direction of Longstaff is a new phase of play, especially when the defender gets there first and kicks it at him?
Unless there's something that hasn't been shown by the jittery VAR operator?

Re: Forest v Toon
ok on what planet is that offside ?
Re: Forest v Toon
It’s just a s**** all round. Spoils the moment, took around 3 minutes to even get him to the monitor and then doesn’t even get the decision right.

There are and I love what we’ve done this season, despite the method of takeover. Ultimately, the money wins - for us this season is a win and proud of it we should all be, including Kompany, but we all know that at the end of the day, VK’s way will be with the monied clubs, most likely City.Royboyclaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 9:25 pmNo, DCWat......seriously not bitter.

They played it before the last game of the season against Yeovil in 2008 which they won and got promoted to the Championship and have done it ever since.elwaclaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 9:28 pmOften wondered why they sing Mull of Kintire?

No idea what made them play it the first time though. Charlton also have their own version as well.
The above according to Google.

Re: Forest v Toon
That’s the most bonkers decision I have ever seen. Defender kicks the ball against an opponent who is offside. That then rules out a goal later on. WTF.

Re: Forest v Toon
Apparently the rules say this is now offside because the defender hasn’t attempted a pass. Absolutely ridiculous.

Re: Forest v Toon
Apparently the second Newcastle goal for offside was given because Longstaff, in an offside position, put "pressure" on the defence. The offside wasn't given because he touched the ball in the next stage of play, but originally he was adding "pressure".

Perhaps we'll meet in the pub someday ?
Re: Forest v Toon
Well we will have to seem how we do it next season. One thing we don't really do is produce our own players. Three of this Newcastle team that we are watching started their careers with them.DCWat wrote: ↑Fri Mar 17, 2023 9:33 pmThere are and I love what we’ve done this season, despite the method of takeover. Re: Forest v Toon
Bit easier for Newcastle to do when the only competing club within what, 100 miles of them is Sunderland?
Compared with us when we’ve got a lot of teams with excellent, established academies on our doorstep.
United supply a ridiculous amount of football players in the 4 professional leagues

Re: Forest v Toon
The thing is you can buy the eleven most expensive players on the planet, but do they perform as a cohesive unit ?
VK has a special technique and will stay at Burnley until that yields it's results......stick around for the ride.
