I know he is his own man but he has said he has phoned pep in the past for advice, I think it would be helpful for vin to talk to pep and get his take on the match.

And tell him that he should have started the match with most experienced players avaliable to him. Still we created a chance ot two and only a superb tackle on Tella prevented a goal probably

Maybe that's the team he expects to be the core next season minus any additions?

Ok then. Let's take someone like Muric. His passing is integral to our game, yesterday proved it, and I'm so glad that we didn't risk him, in a match we were never likely to win.

Risk him? From what?

I thought Taylor would have played given his Premier League experience and maybe Cork.

Stayed loyal to BPF in cup as Pep done with their keeper.

Changed centre back but think that was tactical as could have been worried about Ekdal’s pace and tbh he did not have a great game v Hull. The player that replaced him is after Foster our most expensive signing.

Only other change was Foster - and again this could have been tactical given the athleticism of their defence.

We didn’t lose because of the changes to the team.

The cup team earned the right, pleased VK respected that, those players will pay that back many times over in the coming seasons.
