According to an article in the Daily Telegraph online today this is Lee Grant …. He is now striker coach for Ipswich Town.
Leaving aside the article mentioning that Ipswich are the EFL’s second highest scorers (there’s a clue there as to who more credibly deserves their title I think) it’s perhaps not altogether surprising as I remember Lee being quite helpful to strikers at times when he played for us , albeit not our strikers.

I thought Grant was very good for us but maybe it was just the 10 years prior of Buffoon Jensen making Grant look competent.

I seem to recall Jensen sulking and handing in a transfer request a few times, I think the paper talk of a move to FC Porto got to his head.

To Jensens credit no matter how many times managers tried to replace him, he always found a way back in. Coyne, Pollitt, Weaver, Kiraly, Penny, Rachubka, Grant (the loan spell).

I thought Coyne would've kept his shirt had he not suffered that knee injury and I rated Kiraly higher than Jensen but I don't pick the team.

Grant used to Parry everything back into play for their forwards to tap in.

He was very good for his last season but then he left us on a free.

Jensen was far better for us over longer periods.

In a way, that makes some sense for a former goalkeeper to help coach strikers (I've never really thought of that before), he would give a different insight compared to someone like Hasselbaink.

Jensen was the best of a bad bunch of keepers, hence how he kept getting back into the team. He also produced some amazing performances. Reading at home during portion season springs to mind. It was a bad bunch. Paul Crichton was decent but we had some right clowns follow him. We have been very lucky to have Pope and Heaton. Yes they were excellently coached but for the price we paid it was a gamble and they were excellent.

In turn, we then signed Heaton on a free. I can remember the anger from quite a few fans that we were signing a keeper who had just been relegated to league 1.

We have not done too bad regarding our goal keepers since then.

Jensen is right up there as one of the worst keepers I’ve seen for Burnley.

Perhaps had 10 amazing games (some in huge games too) but he was generally pretty ****.

Jensen had some great games but some truly terrible ones. Ipswich ruthlessly targeted his weaknesses when they beat us 6-1.

Yeah. A lot were annoyed with Grant because as soon as he put in a few decent performances, he was offski.

A very inconsistent keeper who was either a 5 or an 8 but i think its a bit harsh to say he's amongst the worst you've ever seen for Burnley. Especially considering he was a pivotal figure in the promotion season.

I see Jensen for what he was really- a pretty crap keeper for a side that was pretty crap at the time. Raised his levels to help get us to the promised land and deserves a bit of respect for that.

Diego Penney is the worst I've seen by a decent distance.

As said above the amount of parries into the 6 yard box were only rivalled by the amount of shots he got a hand to but it burst through and went in. Rubbish keeper.

Seem to remember Jensen being a key integral part of one of the most fantastic seasons I’ve had as a Burnley fan.

Wouldn’t be knocking anyone that took us to the promised football land.

Jensen? Nowhere near the worst as indicated above. I’ll add Peter Mellor to that list. Even threw a couple in on his big day out for Fulham in the FA Cup final

I always thought he needed glasses. He was a quite instinctive at close range shots, but anything outside the area seemed to be past him before he saw it.

I remember Mike Finn and also Jeff Parton's home debut, now thats not for the faint hearted

Sure Billy Orourke was in the nets when Jim Mcdonagh scored at Burden Park. Remember it was windy and ******* down . Another miserable away day at the time .

We were, a last minute switch when another match was called off or something. The BBC having its HQ round the corner from Loftus Rd made a last minute decision.
It was in a number of ways the end of an era and the start of a new one, I think the first match with Brian Miller as manager, the first time I had seen Jimmy Holland as on field physio and the last game for Peter Noble in a Burnley shirt.

Mark Kendall is probably the worst I’ve ever seen for us.

To be fair, that is in his top 10 world class performances! the save from Peter Atherton’s volley which Windass high fived him for was top class!
