Scotland 2 Spain 0

Post by IanMcL » Tue Mar 28, 2023 11:46 pm

Should not go unnoticed.

Magnificent victory and should have been 3 or 4.

I don't think it's gone unnoticed has it?
Had quite a few conversations noting how amusing it was that Spain got turned over by such a traditionally shyte team

Great result for them, but if there's a way to stuff up their qualifying campaign, I'm sure they'll find it !!

This result shows how boring qualification groups are.

Spain win the 1st game, then felt the need to rest 8 players from the Norway game and basically put out a B team knowing that they will win the other games.

A great victory for Scotland and thoroughly deserved, sadly due to this game only being shown on Viaplay this terrific win will have only been seen by a small % of the Scottish population.

Certainly vindicates their recent decision to extend Steve Clarke's contract, and he's working wonders considering the shambles he inherited from Alex McLeish.

There was a "Burnley Tartan Army" Saltire behind the goal providing inspiration.

Can't just be a coincidence that it's there only days after Vegas asking about flags.

Scotland's win must be the equivalent to Wimbledon beating us in 1975

Fair play to the Jocks. Great win although Spain are no great shakes at the moment. Made me laugh seeing Rodri moan about some of Scotland's tactics given the way City play with the tactical fouls, surrounding refs etc.

Come on Moderators, there are certain things that are just too offensive to be referred to, even on here.

I watched that game and the re-match when we were the underdogs about ten years later; neither memory is fond.

Scotland were outstanding. The sort of intensity I wish England mustered against the better teams. Spain couldn't cope with it. Crowd were immense too as a result.
