Has there ever been one so tight with so many sides that can go down?

Southampton seem to lose every week. But could’ve been out of the bottom three had they won today.

Anyone up to palace could go down.

Three ‘historical’ big clubs could go down. At least one or two will.

Who do you want to go down?
Who would be best for us to go down?
Who do you think will go down?

I’d like Leeds, Leicester and Dyche aside Everton to go down. And I think that would be the best three for us to go down.

I think Southampton, Forest and Leeds will go down.

I think they’re the three we’d have the best chance of beating next season. And to prospective new players too. I’d rather all three stay up. We always seem to do well against them.

Dirty Leeds won't go down,they have more luck than anybody.

I agree, the 3 I selected are the 3 I think will be relegated no other reason or desire.

Not looked at all the remaining fixtures, which will play a part, but just on squad strength I think it’ll be:

Southampton, Leicester, Bournemouth.

Good in a way because I have no interest in visiting their soulless stadiums, but bad because they’d be the three I’d most fancy us getting results against next year.

Hate going to Leicester. Plastic ground. Plastic fans. Seems to take way longer to get to than it should.

Although Southampton’s a similar stadium, I actually like going there and love going Bournemouth. Think they’re cracking away days.

I really wanted Everton or Leeds to get relegated last season instead of us.
Hated the way they both stopped up and wanted them both relegated this year, but I've still got a soft spot for Sean Dyche and hope he keeps them up, for his sake, not for Evertons.

Saw a bit of the West Ham v Southampton game including the only goal of the game. It encapsulated the whole sorry mess that represents the 'offside rule' as it currently exists. There is no way in this world that there is a definitive definition to determine the law if that is anything to go by and Southampton must feel let down by the awarding of a goal to West Ham.

You couldn't tell if he was offside or not, but how the 3 WH players that were, weren't interfering with play, I haven't a clue

Ridiculously tight. Much was made of Viera being sacked and many criticised it but Hodgson straight away gets a win to put Palace within 5/6 points of safety. They should be safe now. I think Wolves are too.

In fairness viera could have done that sooner or later they would have won 1 I think Leicester was their first favourable run of fixtures after playing the likes of arsenal, it's very tight with some 6 pointers on the way I think whoever comes out of them with the 3 is pretty much safe or turbo boosted, plenty of twists & turns no doubt & Southampton the bottom side only need a win themselves to be on the brink of a possible escape lifting them up to 26 albeit with a poorer GD.

I want West Ham, Everton and Leeds to go down.

I don’t know if I could face Dyche as the away manager- was brilliant theatre with Coyle but everyone pretty much felt the same way about him. If Dyche comes back it will be mixed reaction I imagine. I’d want a warm welcome back but something tells me it wouldn’t be that.

West Ham have definitely got the hardest run in

West Ham Everton Leeds for me, mess up the premier, exclusive, big boys league thing a bit.
Would be good for championship and hopefully give blackburn no chance of promotion again next season

It is a shame that the Leeds Forest game isn't on tv this week

Looking at that graphic, there are 8 poor teams at the bottom of that table and the best news for us is that FIVE of them have to stay up.

This year.

Everton, Leicester and West Ham being relegated would freshen things up in the PL but I’d bet on Southampton, Forest and Bournemouth.

It's not who I'd choose to go down and I haven't looked at anyone's upcoming fixtures, but my feeling looking at that table is Southampton (they've played a game more and are still bottom), Leeds and Bournemouth.

I'm 100% certain we'd give him a warm reception. If he had jumped ship when his stock was high back in May 2018, then it might be a bit different.

Can't they all go down?

A cocktail of divvy fans, financial cheats, crazy recruitment, souless stadiums and sickly false "fairytale" narratives.

But, if I'm going to choose three then two easily lead the pack. Leeds and Everton. Would love them to go down and it'd be interesting to see them in the Championship, especially Everton. Forest or West Ham to join them but it'll likely be Southampton.

Haven't included Brighton obviously but fingers crossed for next season.

What's going wrong with wolves?

The only one I'd be confident of dropping is Southampton, they aren't winning against the sides around them, and now look like having too much ground to make up given their remaining games.

I keep thinking Bournemouth, however every time they need a result they produce one, so I have a funny feeling they'll just survive.

Forest look in danger now after a decent run mainly at home they have hit the buffers in recent weeks.

Leeds we all know will fluke their way out of trouble again.

Everton under SD have started picking up points, and if as I expect they beat Spurs tonight they'll have enough to pull clear.

Wolves I'd be worried for they simply don't score enough goals.

Who I'd like to drop- 3 of Everton, Forest, Leeds, Leicester, West Ham.

Who I think will drop- Forest, Leicester, Southampton.

My bookie has shortest odds on: Southampton 2/9, N Forest 10/11, Bournemouth evens, then Everton 6/4, Leicester 5/2, Leeds & Wolves 3/1, WHU 6/1.

I'd like it to be Leeds Leicester and Southampton.
Think it'll be Southampton, Forest & Everton. Leicester & Bournemouth have (based on opponents previous H/A points) the easiest run-ins.

Key immediate games:
Everton v Spuds tonight
B'mouth v BHA, Leeds v Forest, Leicester v Villa tomorrow,
Odds could all change after these 4 games. Very tight end of season with relegation worries for so many fans.

Looking at which clubs could be most damaged by relegation I'd think:
Everton (existing financial concerns/new ground plans etc)
Leicester (owners wealth (and maybe interest) has diminished)

If I was to go with my head rather than my heart, and be totally dispassionate about it, I’d go for…

Not a chance he would get anything other than a massive clap and cheer as a minimum.

Although that should be left to the warm up and post match after we win.

Me too.
I think Saints are practically gone.
Forest looked like climbing away from the bottom a couple of months ago, they've slipped back down.
Leicester, though they have an easier run in than some, look like they're in a complete tail-spin.

It could go down to the last game for many teams, so the final fixtures will be crucial.


Arsenal v Wolves - Wolves will get nothing here. a big worry for them

Crystal Palace v Nottingham Forest - Palace will probably be safe by now, and therefore on the beach, could help Florists

Everton v AFC Bournemouth - The game of the day, these 2 must be in the mix final day, it's down to who has the biggest pair, hard to tell but I
fear for the losers

Leeds v Spurs - Gut tells me Spurs will be on the beach, and Weeds will get away with it, again.

Leicester v West Ham - Another big game, but there has to be a shout that these will be safe come final day, if they aren't here and Goodison is
going to be massive . I'd favour Leicester if I had to pick

Southampton v Liverpool - Saints like Wolves, will get nothing, they might have already been put out of their misery.

Both saints fans, both claim they wouldn't want to keep Tella and both tried their best to mock Burnley at the weekend, prior to their loss.

There's a whole summers worth of mocking there if they go down

Looking grim for Leicester and Saints after yesterday, and Everton are deep in the mire following that 3-1 home reverse to Fulham.

Palace now boast 3 wins out of 3 under Roy, Wolves and Bournemouth are on the verge of safety probably one more win will probably prove enough for both with maybe a draw or two.

Pressure on Forest and West Ham to respond today, both have home advantage, but face tough games in Utd and Arsenal.

Moyes would likely survive a defeat today, Cooper I'm not so sure would.

I think about 38 points should be enough at the season close, with yesterday's results & the points already in the bag you are probably looking at the closest 6 with the gap emerging unless a winning/losing run happens & from palace downwards on 36 somebody else gets dragged back in.

Unfortunately, I can see Leeds getting something from their game with Liverpool tomorrow, I think they'll just scrape to survival.
Saints look like they're gone, Foxes still in freefall.
Hard to say who'll occupy the last place, a surprise win could alter things.

Could easily go to the last day.

The 3 looking iffy are Southampton, Leicester and Forest.

West Ham might get cup fever and suffer, so at risk.
Leeds are awful so could also either respond or drop.

Everton hanging by a thread but with their Burnley know how, will hold their nerve.

It's difficult to predict with some of them having game(s) in hand of course you have to do something with them otherwise it's meaningless.

Unfortunately it looks like Southampton are going down. We have a pretty good record against them. Not sure if it helps or hinders any potential deal for Tella though.

So taking them as a cert I'd say:

Just happened to have a look at Everton's 6 remaining fixtures. It looks like SD has got a job on his hands. Currently in a relegation position and I can't see them getting much out of the next 4 games, max 3 points perhaps - Newcastle (H), Leicester (A), Brighton (A), Man City (H) and they'll be hoping that Wolves (A) and Bournemouth (H) have nothing to play for come the last two games.
