Not many games tonight, but some important ones none the less.
Man Utd-Brentford can Ben Mee enjoy another win at OT.
West Ham-Newcastle a game with huge bearing at the top and bottom of the league.
Pope and Tripps in for Toon, Cornet and Ings on the Hammers bench, as is Weghorst for Utd.
Also the small matter of an El Classico Copa Del Rey semi-final 2nd leg, Barca with a narrow 1-0 advantage as they host Real.

Utd 1-0 up. Brentford just seem to be sitting back and letting them have possession.

Why do Sky insist in giving Alan Smith House room
His winny Brummie voice is very annoying as is his co commentator he can't pronounce Paqueta properly insisting on adding r to his name

Awful from Nick Pope from the corner as West Ham pull one back.

1-2 at West Ham. Zouma.
Pope flapping at that one a bit.

Pope has struggled a bit since his sending off. Seems to have affected his confidence.

I think he’ll be nailed on for a booking if it stays at 2-1.

I have to agree, when his name comes up as co commentator it makes me cringe

Feyenoord v Ajax in the Dutch Cup semi finals has been suspended twice, first for smoke bombs by the fans and second for Davy Klaasen being hit by a object thrown from the crowd.

“Cornet has yet to catch light for West Ham.”
Aye, well being injured most of the season could have something to do with it.

We always saw what a great FB Trips is but we never knew what a brilliant captain he would become. No wonder they love him on Tyneside.
I love the way he chases teammates away whilst he talks to the referee and his game has come on since his spell in Madrid.

Possibly but what is he supposed to do when his team defend like lemmings.
All 4 Newcastle goals could and should have been defended far better by West Ham.

I don’t think we could have predicted at the time he left us that he’d go in to win forty plus England caps and play in La Liga. Add to that, as you say, he’s become a superb captain.

I’m not sure Paqueta’s heart is quite in it at West Ham.
Not the first time he’s just given the ball up.

Yes Moyes will no doubt be the fall guy, however some of the West Ham players need to take a long look at their pathetic display tonight.
Sadly for David this is the sort of result that can led to the exit door, rightly or wrongly.

Credit to Eddie Howe, Toon looking very good although aided tonight by some
abysmal Hammers defending.

West Ham clearly weren't ready for the second half and that's why Newcastle rather unsportingly took advantage of them and scored in the 46th minute.
The FA should bring back the rule where you're not allowed to score within 60 seconds of a kick off.

All these teams sacking managers, hoping for the new manager bounce, and then struggling to find a manager that is right for them, or the chosen ones refusing the job. At this stage of the season they need managers who play similar to how they do now as they don't have time to change things drastically. Might as well stick with the one they have.

Newcastle was always a tough game, but West Ham looked really poor all over the pitch. Terrible team.
I like Moyes, but he needs putting out of his misery, nobody could turn this team round.

Newcastle did suffer a brief mid-season wobble, however Howe has managed to get them motoring again, and every chance now that he'll take them into the CL next season.
The Hammers defending was seemingly Keystone Cops stuff though.

I think Moyes' success with West Ham has lead to this demise, Europa League semi finalists last season, into the final stages of the Conference League this season. They were always a settled side so they've played an awful lot of football in the last 12 months, niggly injuries and the heavy schedule can't be helping.
