Full programme of EFL footie, lots of games that catch the eye, can Norwich do the business at Deadwood.
PNE at QPR.
Accy Stanley could do with the points against Port Vale.
Lets hope we're celebrating later!!

Watching Millwall warming up and they look up for it and raring to go.
Lets hope so.

Bank Holiday weekend, sun shining, games with promotion, play offs and relegation at stake, a potential promotion party later, not a bad start to the weekend.

Couldn't agree more. Though nice for those travelling to Middlesbrough later if we can clinch it there.clarethomer wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 12:33 pmMy head says I want Luton to lose. My heart wants the promotion party on monday at home.
I doubt we are alone in being selfish amd wanting us to seal promotion, at home, on Monday.

Both sides look nervous. Sloppy in possession and not committing much forward.

Lee Hendrie is really poor as a co comm, I mean just getting the players names right is a must.

Pretty poor game so far.
Re: Today's Football
Poor quality throughout, neither team can string two passes together, we look a completely different class

He is dreadful really, he trots out the same cliches again and again, usually they aren't relevant to the situation.

Re: Today's Football
The ball is screaming for mercy in the game between Millwall and Luton. No one wants to put their foot on it and pick a pass. Played so frantically I suspect a mistake from either side might settle this.

Both sides need to stop playing for soft free kicks because the ref isn’t giving them.

West Brom leading 1-0 at Rotherham.
Re: Today's Football
West Brom 1 up at Rotherham.
Re: Today's Football
If Luton don't win we realistically only need 2 points for promotion due to our GD

Re: Today's Football
Hopefully Millers can get back into this, they need a point or three to edge away from the other relegation candidates. Of course, WBA also need the points to try and get back into play-off contention.

Re: Today's Football
I’ve been on holidays shorter distances than there is between Bradshaw and his Millwall teammates.
Re: Today's Football
So many of them are dire. They go from a well paid, privileged job playing football to one talking about football and they're so complacent.claretburns wrote: ↑Fri Apr 07, 2023 1:18 pmLee Hendrie is really poor as a co comm, I mean just getting the players names right is a must.
Relying on clichés and, as you say, they get players names wrong so regularly. I'd much rather listen to an intelligent, articulate, informed journalist than an ex player telling me a player whose name they got wrong is a "top top top top player" for the tenth time.

Rotherham playing well. Missed a few chances that could come back to haunt them.

Must win for Norwich later at Ewood, would take them to within a point of top 6.
Re: Today's Football
What a poor game this Millwall - Luton match is. We're on a different planet to both in terms of style. But fair play, it obviously works.

Re: Today's Football
It must be crap. I’ve started trying to work out the percentage of Millwall players who have a beard or sleeve tattoo or both.
Re: Today's Football
Such poor quality sides here in Millwall and Luton.
Mind you, I’m more than happy for it to remain 0-0 to give us a chance of promotion this evening.

Re: Today's Football
I would have thought Luton would be going all out for the win to put pressure on Boro and Sheffield Utd, but they don't seem to be bothered.

Re: Today's Football
Luton made it last season too. Also Huddersfield who finished 3rd were a weird team, scored most of their goals via set pieces and were bottom 4 in ‘open play xG’.

Re: Today's Football
I think to be fair, neutrals who watched our 0-0 at Blackpool will be saying "Burnley are so poor, why do pundits/people think they're so good?"
Very difficult to judge in a one off game especially involving Millwall, a very Dyche Burnley style of play with poorer players.

You have to hope either Millwall or Luton get promoted via the play offs as they were total babba.

This is starting to feel like it’s meant to be; we were relegated on my (60th) birthday, and today is my (34th) anniversary. Could it……..?

Re: Today's Football
Well done, Millwall.
Far from the hurly burly of our promotion campaign, I'm at Plainmoor taking in the Torquay v Eastleigh NL game.
Great pubs so far and quite a decent atmosphere.
C'mon you Gulls!
