Today's Football
Re: Today's Football
I don't think the pen was as clear cut as it looked. Jota moved his body across and Holding just ran into him. Very clumsy, but Jota has previous for that. And Salah is a massive cheat too.
At the end of the season that might be the point that wins them the title, but the way City are playing, it could be the day they lost it as well.

Nunez and Gatpo look very poor signings and Liverpool have a massive rebuild with their central defenders and cm players all look off the pace
A striker to play off Salah is a must

Salah is 30 turning 31 in JuneWoodleyclaret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 6:53 pmNunez and Gatpo look very poor signings and Liverpool have a massive rebuild with their central defenders and cm players all look off the pace

Nunez is 23 and being shoehorned out left because Klipperty has a rigid system
Should be building around one of the most promising strikers in Europe instead of shoehorning him into the team

Not been able to stop laughing at the Lids result.

That linesman deserves a pay rise for elbowing Robertson.

I refuse to believe that there was any contact. If there had been, Robertson would have dramatically fallen to the floor, rolled over clutching his face, the Liverpool medical team would have rushed onto the pitch, fussed over him, put a necklace on him and called for a stretcher.

Re: Today's Football
Normally a point at Anfield would be considered a good result, however given Arsenal were 2-0 up and cruising that late equaliser could well mean 2 crucial points spilled.
Arsenal's last 8
West Ham (a)
Southampton (H)
City (a)
Chelsea (H)
Newcastle (a)
Brighton (H)
Forest (a)
Wolves (H)
City's last 9
Leicester (H)
Arsenal (H)
Fulham (a)
West Ham (H)
Leeds (H)
Everton (a)
Chelsea (H)
Brentford (a)
They also have a trip to Brighton which is till TBA.
The one advantage Arsenal enjoy is they only have PL games to navigate, well City have to juggle CL, FA Cup & PL, however they should be used to a busy schedule, and they are probably the one club who possess the strength in depth to challenge on all fronts.
I'd make City slight favs now due to them having the experience of a title battle, whereas Arsenal's young squad have never been in this position.

I think Arsenal are going to have to get something at City. Don't see City dropping points anywhere else unfortunately.

Ah! well if Arsenal do get something at City then that totally changes the dynamic, I can't see it in all honesty though.
And when City get on a winning roll they are a difficult side to stop, especially at the business end of the season.
