Unbeaten run

Post by LongsideClaret » Tue Apr 11, 2023 7:22 am

We are currently on a 20 game unbeaten run in the league since our defeat away at Sheffield United. Are we going to pass that record of 23 undefeated we set in 15/16?

Since then we have 16 wins and 4 draws from our 20 games conceding only 7 goals!

I can see us going unbeaten until the end of the season. Our ability to kill games off just by keeping hold of the ball is brilliant. Yes they were down to 10 men for most of the game, but there were times last night when it felt like a training ground game.

The control that we wield over games is ridiculous - almost to the point of being a bit boring. I can't wait to see this team step up to the next level.

Championship? Completed it mate!

7 goals. That’s incredible.

What a season. The players won’t get complacent. But you go to games now and genuinely can’t see us doing anything other than win. And it’s hard to fathom if we draw. 😅

Definitely possible for us to go the rest of the season unbeaten now.

On paper we've played easily our 2 hardest games in Blades and Boro, and won both with relative ease.

Being greedy win the last 6 and we would beat Reading's 106 points, I don't think we will achieve that feat, but it will be disappointing if we don't reach 100 points now.

There was a lot of debate in the wake of that 5-2 drubbing at Bramall Lane, and to collect 52/60 points since that day is remarkable.

I note Rovers have collected exactly half of our total in the same period for contrast.
