Timing is bizarre to say the least, yes they've slid down the table, but it's only the 6 points deduction which has them battling relegation.

Let's add to their misery on Saturday.

Fans completely had enough of him by the sounds of it. Always blames something else - the ref, the schedule, injuries, digs out individual players. Just a miserable character.

I'm not surprised he's been potted, however I thought Reading would have waited until the end of the season, although in their current plight I can see why they feel they need to try to get a short-term reaction to stave off the drop.

I have just been listening to a fan on TalkSport. Not won in 8, and football is awful, apparently; just lumping it up to Carroll for flick-ons. He sounded delighted that he was given the chop because he could see we're the following wins were going to come from

Just hope that this has no bearing for our next game carrying on our unbeaten run this next weekend. Could be a bad omen!
With us still going for Readings record breaking points total in the championship

They’ll be hoping for a new manager bounce but that will soon be put to bed when we thump them 4-0

Good job there's no such thing as a new manager bounce then.

Never Ince's fault and I'm sure he'll already be looking for someone to shift the blame to in this instance.

This is a ludicrous stage in the season to sack a manager. It just shows that they are badly run: can't stay within the agreed rules relating to their expenditure and now expect some miracle from someone dropped in as manager who:
1. Is working with someone else's choice of players;
2. Doesn't have time to change bad habits;
3. Can't bring anyone else in.
No strategic planing and poor tactics. What could go wrong?

Difficult for a new manager going in there, but player morale should be much higher this weekend with him gone, so I expect to see a much improved Reading performance.

Massive injury issues on a thin squad. Tough on him.
Looks grim. Luckily for them, QPR and Cardiff appear total crap too.

That thought was expressed many times on here that "gladiola" Couldn't replicate the job Dyche had done at Burnley.

Interesting thought. However, I’m fairly confident that Guardiola would have Reading a bit higher up the league than Ince had managed? Only my opinion like, but to flip it on its head, would Ince be able to do at City what Guardiola has done?

Isn't it what we did last year, only 1 game later? Almost kept us up and gave the board time to choose a new manager in time for the return to work this season.

".if and when Vincent moves on we should seriously be taking a look at Paul." There's an established Devils_Advocate on this site already, don't crowd the space.

I wonder if “ Thomas “ will down tools this weekend? Wouldn’t be surprised to see Noel Hunt drop him. May be like starting with 10 men.

Cork said that he has never seen anyone do opposition tactics like Kompany so the problem we will have is that Kompany won't know how they will play. According to McAnuff they have just been hoofing the ball up to Carroll and trying to latch onto the loose balls and haven't had a game plan. I can't see them doing that on Sat.
