If I think back to the utter shite that I had to endure as a kid growing up as a Burnley fan, I can only look on at the youngsters at the Turf these days and think they don’t know how lucky they are!

Bit of a hijack of the thread but has a Burnley keeper scored from open play? I can’t even recall seeing a Burnley keeper score a penalty, unless I’m forgetting something obvious.

That! A highlight for my Mrs would be our 1 - 3 win at Scunthorpe in about 1991 or 92; she'd come with me to watch Burnley perhaps two dozen times over the preceding 5 or 6 years - admittedly all away games - but that was the first time she saw Burnley win.

I mentioned this on another thread recently. Harry Thomson scored from open play at Chorley in a Lancashire Senior Cup tie during the 1965/6 season. A drop kick from his own box.
