Do you mean ‘caught out’, not ‘caught short’ 😀
Ha ha. I’m quite happy with my original words! 😂

With all due respect. Why would it? All he cares about is the next game and next season along with any actual silverware we can win. Like the league. And cups. He won’t give much of a sh*t about 100 year old records from what was essentially a totally different game.

Preparing for next season is far more important than beating some irrelevant records many of us don’t even know about.

Honestly, being semi-serious for a second, there are moments in your life when your own ignorance on any given thing, however big or small, is revealed to you unexpectedly, and the background hum of your day scratches and stops like a record, and you begin to question the stability of other so-called 'truths', and you have a brief moment of existential despair which you attempt to wrestle and control from spiralling thoughts; you assert yourself, eventually, but you're humbled and you're immersed that little deeper in a lake of doubt, and a feeling washes over you that 'one day, I'll know nothing', and it feels weird and scary as fk, and this is one of those moments, because I've probably put more hours into watching football than any other single thing I can think of, and I was mistaken in something as basic as this.
That's a longer sentence than Jakubclaret ever wrote.

Jakubclaret writes long sentences because he doesn't understand grammar; I write long sentences because I do. (Though a few typos here or there bugger up the effect; that's because I don't really proof read coz it's only a footy forum!)

I'm well aware of the 30 game unbeaten record, however I'm not particularly fussed about whether we surpass it or not,

Same with beating Reading's 106 points, or beating the successive Championship wins which we equalled.

We've achieved promotion at a canter, and will likely lift the title in our next game or two, that represents success in my book.

VK earned the luxury of selecting the XI yesterday due to how successful he's been at the helm. Ok it didn't work out but we weren't that bad really, and we probably should have won on chances created.

We can’t win every game . Reading wasn’t the best game but important in the unbeaten run
Personally 26 games unbeaten
100+ points
Beating the **** twice
Will do for me
No need to be greedy

Today we are within 9 or 10 games of equalling that record and I'm hoping VK will give that record the utmost respect......then I hear about the six changes to the side......and I wonder if it means as much to him as it does to some of our longtime supporters ?
We can't equal that record since the significance of it is that it was 30 games unbeaten in one season.
I do however understand your desire to go better than 30, but since we are now promoted it will be v difficult to achieve anyway.

This post highlights how incredible this season has been. Imagine asking for these things at the start of the season and then finishing it with "no need to be greedy"

To achieve any of the above would have been impressive but to achieve all is way beyond any expectations.

At the risk of increasing their angst, I think Spiral has raised an important issue.

If I am reading this right, if a shot is on target but is blocked it is not on target, but if a shot not on target is saved by the goalkeeper it is on target.

This is the kind of nonsense that kept Kafka awake at night, I tell you.
