Re: Tella and Benson
Looks like Benson was cramp
Looks like Tella was a transfer injury. Should be fit by next season.

From Lancs Live..
Tella was withdrawn after just 15 minutes in Berkshire. He was replaced by Darko Churlinov after pulling up with what appeared to be a hamstring injury.
Burnley boss Vincent Kompany will learn more details of the winger's injury in time, but admitted it did not look good based on initial reactions. He believes the squad will need to be called upon to replace the star for the upcoming conclusion to the season.
He said: "That's unfortunate. I still don't know the full details of his injury, but usually it doesn't look good. I'm much more worried [about innocuous injuries].
"In reality it goes back to the point of the squad. Taylor Harwood-Bellis was key to everything we did, and he still is, but guys like [Hjalmar] Ekdal, [Ameen] Al-Dakhil, [Jordan] Beyer, Charlie Taylor, it's been happening all over the pitch. Now Nathan is not available so we'll need Benny, Anass [Zaroury] to get us over the line. It's too early [to know the extent]."
The Clarets ended the game with 10 men as Manuel Benson limped off before full-time, having used all their substitutes. Kompany gave a better state of play with the winger compared to Tella and hopes it is mearly a case of cramp which needs to settle down.
He said: "It was a mix of cramp and getting kicked in an area where it tensed up. I'm not a doctor, but my old senior professional nose would tell me that it's not too bad."

He was stood near the coach after the match chatting to people. He seemed to be ok. Hopefully it isn't too bad.

Re: Tella and Benson
Tella pulled up quickly when a cross field pass was sent to him-not an expert but the way he went down it may well be a hamstring. We see so many now on televised games and this appeared similar

Normally when a player pulls up or goes down with a hamstring injury they hold their thigh.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 9:26 amTella pulled up quickly when a cross field pass was sent to him-not an expert but the way he went down it may well be a hamstring. Tella was holding the side of his hip.

Re: Tella and Benson
Not sure it was hamstring. If so he would have been holding the back of his thigh
He was holding the side of his upper thigh or maybe hip

Re: Tella and Benson
Tella not a hamstring almost 100% sure of that, looked more like an issue with his hip , more what they call a hip rotor cuff injury. So depends on the severity and how much tendons and the muscles inflame

Re: Tella and Benson
If the hip rotor injury is similar to the shoulder rotor cuff injury we will be lucky to see him well in to next season if we sign him, that is one of the most painful
Injures I have ever suffered.

Defo hip related. As he passed VK he touched his hip in telling him.
Strange one with zero contact and not turning.

Re: Tella and Benson
The Tella injury looks like a hip flexor injury, 2/3 weeks out max back for the Blackburn or Bristol game

Re: Tella and Benson
Tella down the far end, couldn't see what happened, but Benson was cramp I think.
Re: Tella and Benson
If we play the same team as we did yesterday ( minus Tella) at Ewood we will lose. Reading were possibly the worst team we have played but we never looked like scoring

Re: Tella and Benson
I said in the match thread it looked like the IT band to me, but if you have inside knowledge then fine, but that’s where I am until proven otherwise. Either way, that’s his season gone is my conclusionAGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Sun Apr 16, 2023 12:29 pmThe Tella injury looks like a hip flexor injury, 2/3 weeks out max back for the Blackburn or Bristol game
