If you can't make a home game do the club have any process allowing you to sell your season ticket for that game back to the club

Think they are non refundable, best bet is to go on twitterclarets and say you have a ticket

Sure it is being brought in next season and if you have a season ticket which is not used on a match day you could have it suspended.

Contact the club. If the game is sold out they might give you a club shop voucher and sell the seat.

My friend bought 3 tickets for Sheffield United and was unable to make the game. The ticket office kindly gave him a refund.

Lots of clubs allow season ticket holders to sell their seats back to the club which they then reoffer out.

Not sure we have enough demand to make it worth while.

Where it would work well is where those in different price bands (pensioners for example) coud be made available at full price.

100% something we have to look at, there must be 500 empty seats every “sold out” home game.

Sell it to the club for £20, they can sell it on at a walk on price, more bums on seats, everyone wins.

I must miss 3 or 4 home games a season with work and holidays I’m sure a lot of others are the same.

I’d fill the empty seat for free ;)

The club tried this a few years ago I think but they don't offer anything like that now as far as I know.

I have only attended one home game this season.
I won’t be attending again this season
I have renewed for next season
I don’t know how many games I will get to next season
The trains are so unreliable at the moment
I live over 100 miles away in Lincoln
I have no personal transport

It’s a shame you’re unable to attend but that’s brilliant commitment though Dave.

If you ever need a lift from Leeds, Dave, give me a shout. Travel over from near Leeds City Centre for every home game.

I have a season ticket, have renewed for next season, only get to about 50% of home games (I go to more away games than home games tbh), and I 'discovered' that anyone can go to the ticket office and get a paper ticket just by knowing my name and clarets number!

Your card suspended for a game so it can't be used. Club can then sell that seat?

Trying to find the article now on Burnley site or an e-mail I received a few weeks ago, but I am sure I am read somewhere that due to the waiting list, next season if your ticket is not used for a game you shall receive contact for the club asking why this was the case and if you have further games which you don't attend you will receive a "yellow card" and if you miss anymore then your season ticket shall be suspended.

But if there are games you can't attend you need to inform the club prior to the fixture taking place for them to sell your seat to another supporter and if this is not done then this could lead to suspension.

I am still looking for where I read this and shall share here once I find it.

Wasn’t that Brentford?

That's Brentford. I suspect if that was us it would have caused plenty of debate on here.

Apologies for the confusion, as has been pointed out it is Brentford doing this, I read the article about Brentford a few weeks ago and for some reason I thought it was a Burnley article I read. Again sorry for any confusion caused.

Be an interesting legal challenge. After you have rented out a seat with payment taken in advance how can you then decide to take it back some time during the rental period. I am certain this will end in in court.

I'm fairly certain this was BFC just not our BFC, Brentford.

They are starting a scheme to ensure the ground is filled when season ticket holders can't attend by a sell back scheme so other members can purchase that ticket. If you fail to attend, I think it was two games you get a yellow card a second yellow card you lose your season ticket for the following season.

I'm sure there will be plenty who, for whatever reason, can't attend a few games and won't be able to notify the club. It'll cause a few issues no doubt.

If your seat is going to be spare for the Cardiff game, I am able to make use of it.

The only game I can’t do is Cardiff as I’ve booked the train as I think I deserve a few beers!

I really don't think they check. As I said earlier, if someone has your clarets number, seat info and name that seems to be good enough for the club to issue a paper ticket.
