Boubakar Kouyate who we tried to sign from Metz plays for Montpellier now (signed for them in January). Would only be him I suppose if not able to sign Beyer and/or THB.

Im voting for the lille keeper lucas chevalier. 21 year old, plays out from the back and plays for france under 21s and fits the profile of player we would look at. Pure guess may i add

Is that our goalkeeping coach too or just somebody who looks a bit like him?

I thought maybe Timothy Weah?
American born son of legendary George Weah!
Plays as an attacking right back for Lille but can play winger as well.

Can’t see the GK coach, but Bellamy appears to be to his left - only half in that photo.

I still get blown away he's our manager and we have a scouting team all over the world, amazing time to be a claret

Good spot re Bellamy, that makes you feel it’s an attacker just like they both went to watch foster and tresor

Chalk and cheese to previous way Burnley did things. You get the feeling we'd still be looking at Joe Allen this summer.

Hopefully his son and not one of his other "relatives".

We need to cherish each day he remains as manager at Turf Moor.......He's clearly destined for bigger and better things, but for now he's manager of OUR club......make the most of it.

me thinks its the CF Jonathan David will know him from when he was in Belgium as he played for Gent ....but seems a high price player as arsenal were due to pay £60m for him

I think they're referring to Ali Dia, Southampton lad who claimed to be George Weah's cousin

Tim Weah has one year left on his deal so there could be something in that.
Bamba’s contract runs out in the summer (I think) but is a little older than what we have currently been recruiting .
Also Mavididi of Montpellier is another who has one year left on his deal, left winger who used to be part of Arsenals youth set up. 24 years old now .

A few possibles. Seems we're looking for another keeper so Chevalier at Lille is a possibility as suggested by Andym. We could also be looking for a left back if Maatsen isn't possible, so maybe Gabriel Gudmundsson of Lille. We never really got the number 10 VK wanted, so maybe Angel Gomes, also of Lille.
Another attacker is also possible, with potentially Barnes, Jay and Tella going. Jonathan David can easily be ruled out, he's bound for Champions League sides. Elye Wahi of Montpellier maybe, but again would imagine he's looking at a level above us and the fee would reportedly be around £25m, though maybe we could offer more opportunity to play than he'd get if he took a bigger step.
But if I was a betting man I'd put my money on Stephy Mavididi. English and apparently wants a move to the PL. Very similar profile to Tella in that he's a pacy, tricky, goalscoring wide forward and with only one year left on his contract he'd be more affordable. Could be a contingency option.

Mavididi plays off the left mainly doesn’t he? While Tella’s best stuff has been off the right. Not sure I see the replacement like for like suggestion (other than the profile of player).

Prior to joining us Tella played mostly off the left at Southampton. The role he plays for us is as much central as it is the right too.
Just think they're stylistically very similar players and of all the players involved in today's game he's the one who seems the most likely.

This leaves us in no doubt that VK and Co are not only fully committed to next season and possibly beyond but also planning thoroughly for it.

Or Southampton, Forest, Palace, West Ham or any other PL club likely to be without a manager over the next three months....

Company really does earn his crust. He is totally obsessed with his job....even doing his own scouting!
Alan Pace must be wincing a bit at the war chest needed for the Prem.
How much ££ do we get on promotion as champions??

Think I read it’s £1m. £500k for 2nd place.

Reported as around £100k for the Championship winners, £50k for second and around £7k for finishing in last place. Peanuts compared to the PL. Championship Final is referred to as “the richest game in world football “ but not because of any prize money on offer.

I might be wrong, just thought I’d read that. Might even have been £500k for Champions. It’s a relative pittance anyway, the prize is PL TV money.
Edit: missed post above.
