Rotherham fan here
About tomorrow night go easy hey?
Catering, I'd strongly suggest instead of the crap overpriced garbage dressed up as " stadium catering" try "Popeye's" burger van at the top of New York Way, Burger & onions £2.50, Cheeseburger £3.00, hot roast pork, hot dogs, soft & hot drinks just as reasonably priced.
Lots of watering holes that let away fans in the town centre, BTW The New York Tavern is decent. Owt else you want to know give me a shout.
Congratulations & all the best back in the PL.

Hi Brad obviously want us to beat you tomorrow evening but all the best for the rest of the season and beyond have some happy (and not so happy) memories of playing Rotherham ... including turning off the M1 just to hear match Off on the radio due to a Frozen PitchBradTheMiller wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 6:52 pmAbout tomorrow night go easy hey?

This is propitiatory buttering up and we can all see it, Brad. Just because you're being nice to us doesn't mean our team is going to be nice to yours (though our fans will be nice, hopefully).

We went by car last time and parked outside the old ground. It’s not much of a walk.

I’m expecting something similar to the Reading game with several more changes being made , possible score draw .BradTheMiller wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 6:52 pmAbout tomorrow night go easy hey?

The Mighty Millers will be fine. I'm sure VK will mix it up again as he did Saturday ...... A draw would set it up nicely for claiming the title at home.BradTheMiller wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 6:52 pmAbout tomorrow night go easy hey?

Chuckle Brothers, Brendan O'Connell getting sent off, nearly being crushed by a horse in that narrow alley by the away end, Stones best bitter in that pub on the corner! Not sure if any of those are great memories but quite nostalgic for their old ground!!Bosscat wrote: ↑Mon Apr 17, 2023 7:21 pmHi Brad obviously want us to beat you tomorrow evening but all the best for the rest of the season and beyond have some happy (and not so happy) memories of playing Rotherham ... including turning off the M1 just to hear match Off on the radio due to a Frozen Pitch

Scrap yard on the other side wasn't it?
Remember losing there 2-1 with Conroy bagging for us and police horses charging about like it was the Grand National afterwards
Never done the new ground, and will have to wait till we next play them before I do

Millmoor had the best away end acoustics in the EFL imho, used to love going there, just the on the pitch stuff that let us down !

i remember going going to a night in 1993. A late penalty goal from Inchy sealed a 1-0 clarets win. I remember the narrow alley behind the way end.
Re: Rotherham fan here
In 1983-84 we had a fellow who was a Gerry Gow fan. He followed him at all his clubs including Rotherham. He was from the South and still played football for the Rotherham London Supporters Club.

Re: Rotherham fan here
I've got to be honest and say I hope Rotherham stay up simply because they put in one of the best performances we've seen so far at the Turf (or away) and let's be fair we've seen some utter dross, including some teams challenging for the play offs who looked woeful. In saying that I'm kindly overlooking the orchestrated time wasting which ultimately undid Rotherham that night, as in their position at the time every other team would have done exactly the same.
Also I'm sure I once went to Millmoor many moons ago and Rotherham scored against us (almost!) directly from a throw in which evaded everybody except Imre Varadi who just touched it as it crossed the line making it a legal goal. I had been drinking though.

Re: Rotherham fan here
It feels like Imre Varadi always scored against us regardless of who he was playing for.
That alley was scary particularly when the police horses galloped down it.
Agree with Dark Cloud in that I want them to stay up due to their performance on the Turf (time wasting aside).

Re: Rotherham fan here
Very similar alleyway at Kenilworth Road, which is where you access the corporate element too, and like the one at Millmoor it can be complete chaos!

I always remember the drumming we received at millmoor towards the end of stans last season I think it was. Baking hot day. Think we ended up losing 3-0.

I'm a big fan of sending them to the Bricklayers and recommending the public facilities on Yorkshire St.
edit - Brickmakers which only goes to show how serious that was.
