Wednesday night's matches

Post by summitclaret » Wed Apr 19, 2023 7:20 pm

Come on Luke McNally at Ewood. Starts again presumably and oddly on the rhs of a back 3. Seems genuinely two-footed.

A fair bit of play-off/ relegation interest tonight.
QPR, Cardiff, Reading all desperate for a point or three to stave off relegation fears.
Boro, Luton jostling for play-off positions
Rovers, Coventry, PNE, Norwich (maybe even Watford) all hoping forb a play-off spot.
That only leaves Swans and Hull in the middle ground.

There’s something quite nice about watching all this drama unfolding from a position of having already been promoted and more or less having the title wrapped up.

Rovers match is on 408 on Sky. Not been a bad game at a high tempo but passes going astray all over the place. Needs someone to put a foot on the ball and calm it down a bit.

It's great isn't it watching the rest scramble for much needed points from our lofty perch. :)

Norwich and Watford also losing, does anybody actually want to make the play=off's, they all seem to fluff their lines when offered the opportunity to enter the top 6,

Rovers now winning.

Coventry are bobbins, just like Rovers ,all the scores going in their favour ,might have to rely on WBA getting above them.

How on earth are Coventry close to the play offs. They have been awful. The Gyorkeres guy is making Foster look like Messi. Well worked goal by Rovers.

Watford seem to have a big problem with home games v bottom-end clubs. In the last 4/5 weeks: draw 1-1 with Wigan, lost 2-3 to Hudders and now 1-3 to Cardiff.

Watford are a disgrace really. They’ll have several players linked with big money moves this summer. Completely underperformed.

Coventry have been well off the pace. They look strangely disinterested. Robins will getting the hairdryer out at half time after that.

Sheffield United could be promoted next Monday at this rate.

If the scores stay the same a Boro win or draw sees the Blades up.

Been so obvious who was going up for the last 8-9 weeks.
