Re: Rovers Riverside stand
I think they should close it, put some advertising and flags or whatever over the seats like was done in covid and try and get their fans in the seats that remain.
Deadwood has a feel of like MK Dons playing in their stadium, far too many seats and far too little people; no wonder they bottle it every year the place is literally dead.
A far cry from cauldron Turf Moor

They switched the main TV gantry from the other side to make it look fuller by showing the more popular Jack Walker Stand ...

Was checking how their tickets for Tuesday were going .. Blackburn end aside.. (no top tier) it’s not a good look on them!! Riverside is prob 70% unsold, walker stand 50% unless a lot were sold Before the Coventry game.

Re: Rovers Riverside stand
Think they have around 9K S/T holders
JW did so many good things for them but building them a ground that is too big for their fanbase (under any circumstances) was not one of them

Neither was his policy of reducing admission prices to next to nothing....thats a big reason for their crap support now they have to pay a realistic price.

I think this will eventually be their undoing. As a business model, without the cash injections from the Venkys, they are a basket case.

Re: Rovers Riverside stand
Bizarre that Rovers are pushing for a play off place, yet still can't attract decent crowds.
Of course if by some fluke they should happen to find themselves in the PL next season you can be sure they'll all come out of the woodwork, talk about a fair weather support.

They only turn up during spring, summer and Autumn to avoid the risk of SnowballsAmbleClaret wrote: ↑Thu Apr 20, 2023 8:30 pmAnyone know when the last time Venkys attended in person ? What's in it for them after all this time ?
