Over 30k......

Could his antics be a reason why BPF has started the last two? Possibly just a coincidence that he goes partying to celebrate and then is on the bench.

A 4/5 day hangover would be quite something!

Seems very well behaved and generous compared to some others we could mention at other clubs.

The date is intriguing and if it was 4 days before Boro it could be technically allowed under their pre match prep rules but I bet VK wouldn’t take it well with 2 huge games on the horizon.

Reality is his financial boost from promotion will mean this is loose change.

he goes partying to celebrate promotion just like every other play and according to the account was extremely gracious and well behaved it has nothing to do with why hes not being picked lets not be silly

Sounds like he was well behaved and was very generous both to the other patrons and the staff who worked there. I doubt he'd be in the squad if VK had taken any great umbrage to it.

Surely him not being in the team is more about VK seeing what BPF can do rather than anything to do with Muric? If VK decides that BPF isn't up to being part of the plans next season at least he'll have had these games in the Championship which can only help to maximise his resale value.

Some top quality journalism from Mail Online. In a report that correctly states Burnley were promoted on 7th April and presents us with a picture it claims is a ‘snippet of the bar bill’ the ‘journalist’ somehow concludes that Muric could have been celebrating promotion despite the bar bill clearly being dated 2nd April. It’s a pretty basic error but doesn’t in any way surprise me.

He was celebrating Rileybobs saying we were mathematically promoted.

Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric splashes £32,000 on a nightclub bar bill - and tips £8,800 to his group's glamorous waitress - as he celebrates their incredible season... days before they were promoted!

They've clearly been reading this board and updated the page

Footballers have a s**t load of spare cash and are young

Having thought about it, file under "Daily Mail hates young people who spend money on stuff*"

It's Muric money to do as he pleases ...but is a bit of a sad reflection of the times we live in ...when some guy can spend £30k on alcohol and others are struggling to pay bills ...

Yes I agree it’s his money to do as he chooses but just imagine had he given that amount to the local foodbank in Burnley just how many mouths could that have fed.

It is flash but then most footballers are. It’s not like he’s broadcast it himself - the waitress had leaked it to the press. And I imagine we have zero knowledge of Muric’s charitable endeavours so I’m not sure that’s a fair shout.

It was reported he donated 15k to the recent Turkey earthquake charities

Didn't he recently give a very large sum of money to the victims of the earthquakes in Turkey?

If he gave a fantastic donation to a Turkish earthquake charity then that is equally fantastic as the bar bill incident is crass...I did not know the former .. and that should be applauded ...

No issue with what Muric does with his money in terms of Muric himself ...I just think the disparity of the haves and the have nots in society is not palatable at all...

Footballers will always spend money they earn. The high salaries at an early age needs serious handling as this was highlighted recently by Craig Bellamy.

Don't see the problem myself, would folks rather Muric stashed it in the bank.

And by a modern footballer's standards 30k isn't that much, certainly not for someone who is going to be playing in the PL in a few months.

So long as he's not spending all his money and is saving some for his after-footy life, I can't see a problem with him spreading the lucre about in legal fashion. A memorable night out for him and some mates, treating various service-industry workers, behaving in a respectful manner and not getting tanked up/silly himself.

I'd have been well happy to do the same - especially at his age.

Hopefully he's back between the sticks tomorrow and earns his championship-winner medal with a fine display.

It’s a fairly straight down the line story tbh . He’s a wealthy young fella celebrating getting( almost) to the prem . Sounds like he was very generous indeed as that’s some champagne haul ! You’d think the young brass he tipped 8k didn’t need to also sell the story .
