Congrats Burnley and Sheff Utd for both winning the league in the same season. Great achievement.

I’m guessing it’s because we are champions but at the start nobody was looking any further than Sheff Utd. I could be wrong.

He's being facetious Frank but let's try and put some meat on the bones on this droll thread:
We actually are Double Champions of the Championship and are now alongside Newcastle, Norwich, Reading, Sunderland and Wolves as the only clubs to win it more than once.

Is that not a bit like saying we've never won the top division because football didn't exist before 1992? We've won the second tier title 4 or 5 times I think haven't we?

Technically the EFL championship is the old Division One - so we’ve now won in 1921 1960 2016 and 2023

And we're still reining Division 4 Champions, 31 years in a row.

Didn't they win it in 2001? With Saha, Boa Morte etc.

Technically when I 'were a lad' the EFL Championship was the old Division Two which we won in 1972-73 with a proper team
