Looking forward to this upcoming joyous occasion.
36 years to the day since Orient as a poignant reminder of how lucky we are to be witnessing this amazing period in our history.

The one issue is the siting of the town hall which is something neither the club nor the council can do anything about. Unlike some towns, it’s stuck on a main road so viewing isn’t brilliant.

After the last one in 2016, I attended a meeting and it was Peter Pike who suggested using the library which would provide better viewing.

It’s the town who organise it and I think their hands are tied.

My first one down there was coming home from Wembley in 1962. They are superb and very special occasions.

Can not wait to take my son to his first 🙌

I can still remember the very spot we stood in when the open top bus came past after the Stockport play off final as 9 year olds.

At least the trophy isn’t being presented there this time so that’s something. In 2016 I saw pretty much nothing from my vantage point at the traffic lights at the top of Finsley Gate. Probably no chance of me getting any closer this time either with it being a working day.

I was right down at the front with a couple of friends but you couldn't see anything because the view was blocked by a line of stewards for much of the time.

Missed opportunity again, could be using Towneley which would be a far better venue than Manchester road on a tiny balcony, before basically watching the side of a bus go past.

Totally agree, the council will of known this was the likely outcome for a number of weeks now. An event at Towneley park with stage and large screens could of easily been arranged enabling more fans to have a better vantage point and better party atmosphere. Instead fans will have to squash into Manchester Road to be able to get any sort of view of the tiny balcony at the Town Hall.

Still at least we get a proper celebration with a full Turf Moor the day before, should be a great day that.

The club had put that forward in 2016 but for some reason it was a no go.

Why couldn't they do a parade around town on the bus then arrive at the Turf? Set up a platform on the pitch in front of the James Hargreaves stand and spectators use the JH stand to view. MEans they don't have to close off Manchester Rd and it opens up to way more people being able to attend.

Can't wait to take the grandchildren, my kids similar age when we beat Stockport at Wembley and the parade stuck with them and helped make them the Clarets they are.

They need to start phasing that connection out, I'm not sure there are many fans that are comfortable with him and his connection to us, his lads sound though by all accounts.

We certainly do.

Amazes me that we seem to wheel him out as often as we do. He’s quite a divisive character and some of his past leaves an awful lot to be desired.

No platform, but basically that’s what they did after the Sherpa Van game in 1988 and it worked really well.

In 1960 they went on an open top bus from the Turf to the Town Hall but the route took them via the two hospitals to Prairie, then Colne Road and Padiham Road to George IV, then through Rosegrove, up Rossy Road and down Manchester Road.

Wrexham's was live on the iplayer so with us being three tiers higher I expect it to be at least on bbc 2 prime time.

For the last one we just got in the Park view beer garden and waited for it to come round. Better than being crammed in like sardines on Manchester Road.

Bumping for today.
The map the club have released ^^ shown above doesn’t actually show where the bus parade starts.
Is anyone any clearer on this?

Also are there any recommended standing positions where you could see the bus go past, then cut through some streets and see it again at a second location? Thanks

Hope plenty still bother. It’s another chance to raise the profile of the club and the town.
And who knows when the next one of these will be!

That bus looks class.

Got a feeling we won't see town rammed for this but obviously would love to be wrong. People are at work and many saw the trophy lift yesterday so maybe won't go because of that. Would it usually happen on a weekend but games were on Monday coz coronation?

The parade for the 2015/16 season was also held on 9th May which was a Monday and the route was packed

Obviously circumstances were a little different as we didn’t see them lift the trophy after the game and the weather was a lot nicer

Love that bus!!!!

And I agree, really sad if people don’t turn up for this one. Real opportunity for everyone in the town to create a memory, show their appreciation for the club and help build its profile.

The bus looks befitting of a Premier league team re-joining the elite.
I also thought the Turf looked brilliant yesterday with the LED boards displaying the Champions message and the montage with the players & VK. It’s definitely modernised the look and feel of the stadium from a small face lift.

I haven’t seen anything detailed. But they will be loads on videos on clarets+ after the event no doubt. I’m expecting lots will pop up in the next few days from yesterdays celebrations once they’ve had some time to do some editing.
Clarets uncut should be epic from yesterday

The Turf has looked great this season. The content on the screens and how it is incorporated is really impressive.

Town looks like its preparing for a big crowd, safety barriers all around Manchester Road and the approaches in the centre.

There's a big screen infront of Macdonalds

Twitter post showing the big screen outside of the town hall.
Should be a big improvement on last time given how tight it is to get a view otherwise.

https://twitter.com/burnleycouk/status ... wu7FY-HWTQ

Does anyone have a picture of the screen outside McDonalds?
And showing how much room there will be for the bus to drive down a pedestrian street?

There is a path made from metal barriers running up for the buses, screen is large, outside the White Lion. Only a little room on the swan/oddies side
