It's absolutely amazing how we're 10 points ahead of them and 30 points ahead of 6th place.
We've absolutely steamrolled the league.
What a time to be a Burnley fan.
Also, congratulations Sheffield United.

Can hear the roar from the back of the house. Looking at the light show now from the bedroom window.
The wife’s about to arrive at the station in 20, good luck getting a taxi
Good they won tonight, helps us if WBA miss out, we need a Luton coming up instead ideally.

Congrats but I wanted Baggies to win tonight to push the fiddlers down another spot.
Grant missed an open goal in the 2nd minute and they had a stonewall pen given as a FK outside the area after 10mins. Oh well!!

Anyone else think their reaction to getting promoted was rather subdued?
No pitch invasion and the fans didn‘t look to be going as nuts as you would expect. No players dancing really, no one running around on anyone's shoulders. All seemed rather odd. Probably the calmest promotion I have ever seen.

I wonder who needed promotion more United or WBA. It sounds as though neither are in the best of shape off the field.
Congratulations to them on winning promotion. Their fans, that we met after Wembley, were genuinely gracious in defeat and wished us well for our first taste of the Premier League. For that alone, I’m pleased to see them promoted alongside (well, a fair way behind) us.

Thoroughly deserved. The play hard and fair and are very well organised. Good on them!

I thought Sheff Utd we're going to bottle it at one point, with the turmoil off the field and Middleborough finding form. But they deserve it.

Mail online is reporting today that the proposed takeover by Nigerian Dozy Mmobuosi is set to collapse. Maybe that is dimming the smiles of some of the fans.

The gap in class between us and Sheffield Utd is vast.
They are a team of Alehouse brawlers with little skill or finese who rode their luck in many games
The sublime way we blew opposition away is the reason why we are Champions.Forget the financial issues at Bramhall Lane the lack of talent for life in the Premier league is their real issue

Bit harsh, their play style isn’t too dissimilar to us under Dyche. Did you label us ale house brawlers with little skill? Ndiaye is probably more skilful than any of our current players!
Anyway, congrats to Sheff Utd, clearly the 2nd best team in the league but one we should be hoping to finish above next season. It will be interesting to see what happens with their takeover and finances now that this one has seemingly collapsed. They need a big summer of recruitment but the Prince doesn’t seem committed.

Think with our 2 style we will fare better in the premier as they are too 'thuggish'. Maybe a bit like we were in the past. I ll never forget the Norwood tackle on Maatsen. Absolutely no need and red all day. They deserve their day I suppose. UTC

Sums you up that you have not posted one word about our title win at Ewood and your first contribution is one that somehow manages to have a pop at us.

Does it really matter what any of us thinks of them?
The gulf in class = 10(ish) points

It's hardly a pop it's pointing out we aren't factually vastly better, I wouldn't bet my mortgage on us doing the double over them next season put it that way, I'm sorry I've been poorly with flu & I've had to send a malfunctioning router back to my BB provider next time I'll plan on these sudden spontaneous things from happening so I can come on here.

We have dazzled and entertained in equal measure
The lump it up method caught us out but we rose above it.Oozing quality and attracting rare compliments from the anti Burnley press and media.

I'm content as I am supporting the team in my own way but thanks for the advice, seen as it's a Sheffield United topic some words wouldn't go amiss - like any newly promoted side they'll be favourites for relegation same as us & whoever comes up via the POs & whoever narrowly avoids relegation, but with some fight & grit & some wise additions they'll have as good a chance as anybody else, we will see when the odds emerge with us side to side if the bookies think we are vastly superior I suspect we'll be somewhere similar for the drop.

No but as I recall the margin of victory with both teams tell a different story so not comparable, 5 is more of a convincing number than 2 although we scored the extra goal away.

The 5 at Bramall Lane was not as bad as everyone made out. Their first goal is not even a corner from memory so without that they don’t score first half. It’s a different game at 2 nil at half time. Also Barnes should have played and without the short turnaround from the Wednesday game that second half doesn’t happen. McCall and their boss were at the turf watching our midweek game having played the day before. It’s the best wake up call that has helped motivate us but there were certainly reasons behind the defeat that make it nowhere near as bad as the scoreline.

Fair play to them. Yes they have grit but also some very good footballers. They have had some periods when they have been very hit by injury and have managed to regain momentum at some times when they seem to have lost it. They definitely deserve to go up: a very good championship side…and worthy runners up!

It doesn't diminish us to say Sheff Utd have also done really well and deserve to go up. And they did batter us at their ground, no point pretending otherwise, but it turned out to be a huge positive for us in the long run. Look forward to playing them again next season.

I think it is difficult when you know you are all but mathematically up to get too carried away. Atmosphere at the Turf was a bit odd on Saturday. Winning promotion away at one of the best three teams in the league and the league at our deadliest rivals made for a much better atmosphere!

They've got some talented players (Ndiaye and Ahmedhodzic look top players and of course Berge is Premier League ready). They look better set up then we are to survive the rigours of the top division.

Can’t agree with that last sentence. We’ve got a more talented squad than they have and better manager. Aside from the 3 you mention, the rest are past it at that level or not good enough. Their two best midfielders have been City loanees so they’ve got a task to secure them again. Players like Baldock, Bogle, Basham, Fleck, Egan, Osborn, Lowe, McBurnie… not good enough. They finished rock bottom last time they were there playing this same style of football and majority of these same players. Big summer coming up for them (as it is for us no doubt).

I was on the train between Skipton and Kings Cross on Saturday morning heading down for the marathon.
At Doncaster the train was taken over by Sheffield United fans on their way down to Wembley for their semi final.
Also on the train were some Burnley fans heading down for the marathon. One of the louder Sheff United then organised a whip round for the Burnley lads chosen charity.
Congratulations Sheffield United on your 2nd place in the Championship.
Still it was never a corner for your first at Bramall Lane
