Few changes… two keepers on the bench before Churlinov and Bastien is telling. Vitinho on the left wing now.

Like to see Twine and/or Foster get on the scoresheet today. Good chance for others to stake a claim.

the fact that there are 2 keepers on the bench would suggest that there was a late injury or illness, probably Zaroury

2 keepers on the bench and Churlinov still can’t make it suggests he’s not up to it. Disappointed Obefemi still can’t get a start too.

What is the pint of naming Casper as a sub ? Gives him experience of being involved in the squad. No way he’ll play. So waste of a sub (not that it matters now)
Why not just sit him on the bench..or next to it/behind ??!!

Churlinov really hasn't been given a chance. Players need match fitness to show what they can/can't do and he has hardly played.

It doesn't really matter, but having the two wingers really stretching play is absolutely key to how we play, and not having one makes a big difference
Still, good game time for players who need it

Are we compelled to by Obafemi?if not I’m sure there are better strikers knocking about

Shame Churlinov was never given a proper run of games. Was excited when we signed him. Can’t see him staying.

Yes, promotion confirmed the permanent deal.
It is a bit strange that he’s not started a game yet.
I’d have gone with Oba/Foster front 2 today with Twine coming off the left.

He’s always featuring on the training pics/vids which to me seems quite odd if he simply can’t get in the squad. Is his fitness not at the levels required or his strength a bit like Twine earlier in the season? Or is he simply not fancied. He’s definitely got some good qualities, but whenever he’s featured (which hasn’t been much to go off) he’s struggled quite a bit - but given the lack of games you wouldn’t expect him to be as sharp as the others - a mystery .

In his very few and very short appearances I’ve been far more impressed with Obafemi than Foster. I’ll allow Foster settling in time but he needs to start next season vastly improved.

Let's see if we can create some chances for the centre forward today.
I know it's old fashioned but I like it.

Agreed about Churlinov, not sure I agree about Obafemi. Think he just wants to get Foster more up to speed.

Surely the 3 games pre-Deadwood showed you cannot turn out a scratch side.
We’ve had all them years of cup defeats under SD doing similar. It never works.

They aren’t comparable though. Foster is clearly fancied as the central striker in this system, a la Barnes/Rodriguez. Obafemi definitely can’t play that central role - suspect he is an option in the Tella role - moving between playing wider and then stretching the play making runs in behind.

Obafemi's best performances have been central.
He's a striker not a winger
