Looked like it but he was behind Maatsen so couldn’t be sure.

No, but I wouldn't expect him to stop and wind the window down for kids, unless his move was done.

Deadline for Friday taken from SSN
‘Premier League rules dictate that any new signing has to be registered by midday on the last "working" day before a match, in order for that player to be available for selection.
“So, for Manchester City and Burnley, who play Friday, the player registration deadline is midday Thursday.

So I think it's safe to assume that Berge is as close to being a Burnley player without actually holding up the shirt. We're just waiting on the official announcement now.
BBC and Nixon have also said the Ramsey deal is close, and Sky are saying that we're still trying to make the Lokonga deal work.
My question is - do people think we will sign all 3 if we can, or do we think we'll do what seems to be our usual trick of advancing on a few deals and then choosing a one or two?
BBC and Nixon have also said the Ramsey deal is close, and Sky are saying that we're still trying to make the Lokonga deal work.

My hunch is that the Lokonga deal isn’t happening and the other two are.ksrclaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 4:19 pmSo I think it's safe to assume that Berge is as close to being a Burnley player without actually holding up the shirt. We're just waiting on the official announcement now.

I think if we sign all three of Berge, Ramsey and Lokonga then we have really superb options in the middle. I would be beyond shocked if we signed all three, it almost feels like overkill that unless we are expecting at least two of Bastien, Twine, Cork and even Brownhill to depart.

You get the sense that if Lokonga was going to happen it would have been finalised by now - can't think what the hold-up would be if all parties wanted it to go ahead
As others have said if we signed Lokonga and Ramsey you'd assume Bastien plus one would be leaving and for various reasons already discussed expecting all of Brownhill, Cork and Twine to feature to a greater or lesser extent

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I’d be expecting Bastien to leave either on loan or permanently, and it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if Cork had very little game time this year. He seemed to struggle keeping up with the pace of the game last season leading to his large number of yellow cards, and he didn’t really make it back into the starting 11 following his 10 booking suspension, and didn’t play a huge amount from the bench. I’d expect him to really struggle to keep up with the game this season.jedi_master wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 4:30 pmI think if we sign all three of Berge, Ramsey and Lokonga then we have really superb options in the middle. Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
He is currently injured, wether we’re waiting for him to heal to make sure he’s fit before we commit to an entire seasons loan plus an obligation to buy? Berge, Lokonga and Ramsey signing would be crazy. Gone from being light in the middle to multiple genuine options if it comes offEarbyClaret wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 4:42 pmYou get the sense that if Lokonga was going to happen it would have been finalised by now - can't think what the hold-up would be if all parties wanted it to go ahead

I think Kompany is banking on the likes of Benson, Zaroury, Amdouni, Foster, Redmond etc all getting 5-8 each as opposed to one person to be relied upon (aka, Chris Wood).

I vaguely recall this sort of question last summer, but it was for 20 goals and we ended up alright

People were asking that last season and we scored 87 from all over the squad.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
My guess is nobody and that won't matter. I think we will have Benson, Anass, Redmond getting 6 each and several other midfielders getting 4 or so. Plus around 8 goals from defenders.
From who we have as of today up top, I can only see a max of 10 goals combined...
That should give us around 50 goals, which should be enough to see us safe, if we defend adequately.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.

Bournemouth have apparently beat Leeds to the signing of Max Aarons. They were after Maehle but have dropped interest. We’ve been linked in the past albeit under different management

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
We still have 2 PL loans available yet. I think we'll get a left back on loan. IM, Gomez or the MU lad.
The other could be a cm.
I still want Tella.

Slightly baffling that we don't have a left back yet, VK must be playing a patient game for a particular target, (Hartman, Gomez?)

More than likely. I am 100% confident that it will be sorted.
It's best that Charlie plays lb on Friday anyway. No need to x the halfway line really if we want a point.
