Usually busy Sunday afternoon prior to bank holiday and possibly a bit messy by Sunday night! Culvert area will be busy plus bank parade I guess?

Probably not these days. The Bridge and bank parade area probably your best bet.

Go in that 'No Nay Never' bar again Stockbrokerbelt

Even with the game on Monday imagine a few will be out, Bank Parade or Culvert. Sure you'll upset someone wherever you go 😁

Here's what Bank Parade looks like at the minute

Around where? That's quite a statement, Manchester, for example, was (still is) very, very good back then.

If that's the Queen Vic it will Be full of contractors. One Of the most boring venues in town. And there's little interaction on the msg Board. Most are tucked up in Bed by 11pm.

If stopping at the queen vic premier inn , quick walk down past thompsons park towards St Peter’s church and go up to bank parade. Happy days. No taxis needed . See ya Sunday mate. I’ll be in the bottom circ next door to the loom. Come and say hello.

The Borough then DOWN to the hop. Or sideways as the crow flies.

The Hop. I remember that place from the '70s when I used to escort big Valerie there in my Reliant van.

We used to travel to some Burnley away games in a Reliant van in the 70’s. The lad who owned the van was an ex greaser who only had a motorbike licence hence the three wheeler van. That used to get a bit unstable at times with four or five biggish lads in it and beers on the way home in the back.

The Borough was a great pub sometimes taken in before The Hop. Great because it had no bells and whistles but the beer was good and always folk in you knew. All the pubs in those days were great for bumping into people, not literally, whether you knew them or not. Different times
