Clarets + for the foreigners

Post by footballdiedin92 » Fri May 05, 2023 5:05 am

I've managed to avoid having to use Clarets plus all season for watching the games as the reviews on here have been pretty scathing. Has it improved as the season has gone. Might need to you it for the Cardiff game. Does the live broadcast video coverage work?

I've watched all the games through Clarets+. Very, very rarely has it buffered and nearly all of the time it sorted itself out within a few seconds. Earlier on in the season, there was one game, maybe two where it buffered and I reverted to alternative means for a good chunk of the game. Other than that, the picture quality has been excellent.

I think earlier in the season too, there were a few times where the audio didn't quite sync up with the picture, it was either ahead or behind the action by half a second.

Finally, there has been a few times where the commentary has cut out, sometimes for long periods, most notably the Blackpool away game. I could still hear the crowd though, so it was alright.

Overall, I've had a very positive experience with the subscription even with my slow internet connection, it's managed to stream in HD and so, I would buy again if we're in the EFL. I'm not sure if they'll be doing it in the PL with the different rights at play.

Next season will mean no Clarets+ video again I suspect.
90% of the time it's been reliable for me, the main issue have been related to sound not working at different grounds.

I watched all games on Clarets+ and the quality was generally very good. Occasional buffering but generally for only a couple of seconds. However for the last few games continuous buffering occurred around the 70/75th minute on my PC stream and I switched to my mobile version with no problem till the very end. All in all it was very good value for money considering that it cost about EUR3.50 per match!

I believe there was an issue on the MIddlesbrough home game earlier this year but I have used it for probably 12 or so games this season and not had an issue with it.

Hopefully Comms cam live will be back. The club managed to get the live video latency down to 4 seconds via YouTube which meant it was much closer to live then the audio feed via the club website.

Had we been in championship next year, I would have bought the annual pass for sure. Hardly has missed a beat in last 4-4 games I have used it for.

Been great and far better than my paid iptv provider who hide behind it being a fault at my end half the time.
