To stop people doing it blatantly infront of families and kids ??
People doing everywhere today not even hiding it.
Put them in a room where at least nobody can see.

It’s a problem in society - one that needs solving (somehow) outside of football.

I find it very tragic that so many people now cannot seem to enjoy themselves out live their lives without snorting the white stuff. They look and act like zombies, I just don't get how they think it enhances their lives?

Too many aresholes think it's cool. Meanwhile, drug gang violence ends in deaths, including children who get caught up in the crossfire. There's nothing cool about it at all. Time to get tough on possession.

It is a shame that the minority spoil the day out for the majority in a number of ways ...
But I suggest that everyone who has anything to complain about stop and enjoy this moment...
I have been watching since 1975 and the Jimmy Mullen season aside this is the best season by far ..
So just be conteted ...and happy

Although I doubt they are moaning as much about their own.

In my experience (no never taken it) is that it's absolute crap drinkers who take it.
They love going out for a beer sesh but they can't handle it, proper shandy drinkers.
If they didn't take the Peruvian Pouting Powder, they'd end up curled up in a ball in the corner after a couple of pints.

My honest opinion on this.. if it's 3am in some random's kitchen, live and let live, none of my business. If you need to partake in it on a Monday afternoon to watch the football, you probably need to have a look at yourself and accept you've a problem developing.

Cocaine isn't what it was even 20 years ago. It's cut up with all kinds of crap these days and for £40 a gram (depending on where you are) it's an expensive habit.
Gives fake confidence and makes you look like an absolute moron.

In answer to the question. No. There should be zero tolerance to drug taking at football. Stewards and police need to grow some and arrest those doing it

Another item for the fan group to bring up perhaps?
What they do in their own homes is their business. Drug taking in public places should be illegal. I include smoking cannabis in this.

It is shocking to see how many need drugs to enjoy a day out at the football.
Same for those who need so much booze to enjoy the day, see them in the pub up until lick off then rushing down after 38 mins to go and get as many pints in as they can. If you can‘t go 2 hours without a drink you have problems, and if you can‘t enjoy a fabulous day like today without being off your head on coke or booze then I feel really sorry for you, and more so for your children.

It's a job for the police the stewards can only report it, I wouldn't expect people on minimum wage to be confronting potentiality aggressive cokeheads.

CCTV - used after the game to identify anyone using it at their seats/in the concourse and where they're sat.
Then it's a case of suspending season tickets once it's proven which seats they're in, or handing them a ban.
It takes a bit of effort, but it's certainly doable.
Failing that, sniffer dogs.

Cocaine’s probably purer now than the oldies think it was back in the day, mainly thanks to dark web marketplaces etc.
Agree that it’s a huge problem though ‘a designated cocaine room’ does sound like a viable Van Halen rider request back in the day.

The coke being sniffed by the idiots isn't very pure, hasn't been for years, it's been cut with so many different mixers that a "wrap" contains barely 10% of cocaine.
If you have them pure cocaine they'd overdose and end up either dead or in hospital

Correct there's no way it's close to pure they wouldn't be snorting so much so often & from a money making point of view it wouldn't make sense because you want people coming back more often & buying if it was strong they wouldn't make a fraction of what the dealers make.

I know it’s always cut with something but it’s actually of a better quality because of a competitive online marketplace. That’s not to say to there’s not crap out there but it’s generally purer than it was

That's true but not at street level 3 or 4 dealers down the chain will be offsetting the purity with more dilution of the product to maximize profit, it's like anything though you'll get different grades of quality/strength & pay more for flake.

I had a thought reading this thread. Much condemnation about drug use coming from a bunch of guys whose average age puts them as part of the ‘swinging sixties’. Statistically there is a better than average chance many of them have indulged in the past (given that it seemed more did than didn’t back then).
It all smacks (no pun intended) of hypocrisy somehow.

To be honest I am a lot older but have never smoked cigarettes. I think many younger (I use the term loosely

) people use drugs a lot less than my generation did. Personally my belief is that it is each to his or her own.
Well done for staying clean though.

I've smoked weed, taken whizz and E's on a Saturday night clubbing, all to enhance the experience.
Today, it's as though they have to do a line to force themselves into a perceived state of enjoyment, which ironically, numbs the actual feeling of enjoyment. They come away questioning whether they really enjoyed it or think they did.

I’m in no way condoning what was done ‘back in the day’, whatever era that might have been.
What I would say though is that there’s a big difference with what we are seeing now to what was seen in my day.
In the 90’s / 00’s people taking drugs were doing so at an event, be it a rave, a club night or the local nightclub. Everyone knew it was being done and where it was being done.
Now, it’s done everywhere. The pub, the football, the office, the nightclub, at home, wherever someone feels the need for a bit of a pick me up.
When it was more confined to clubs etc. it was easier for the authorities to monitor and perhaps turn a blind eye to or put safety precautions in place.
Cocaine has got so out of control that it’ll be near impossible to stop.
What goes up must come down - that’s not just the next day or so. The longer term impacts could be far worse!
