Starting a flag ideas thread off, given the chat on the parade thread. I’ll start off with this idea of Pickles’, which I love…

Further up the thread we were talking about banners and flags etc. Why we haven't used John Cooper Clarke's poem "Burnley" before is a bit of a head-scratcher to me. It totally fits with that sort of self-deprecating "it's a sh!thole but it's our sh!thole" vibe Burnley fans are so good at.
BURNLEY
I’ll tell you now and I’ll tell you firmly
I don’t never want to go to Burnley
What they do there don’t concern me
Why would anybody make the journey?

And some more, also from Pickles, my favourite being the 1882 flag:

Agreed. Just a few ideas. First game of the season, "BURNLEY ARE BACK" on a massive banner. "RISE MILL TOWN RISE" (always thought that could/should be a bit of a slogan for us.) "IN GOOD KOMPANY", "1882" with the two 8s maybe being the first division trophies we won (so many people don't know we were champions of England, twice.)
I'd stay away from Union Jacks and St George, and tap into Burnley itself and the heritage of the club.
Everyone will have an opinion though.
Definitely something the club/supporters groups could look into.

A good start would be getting the UTC flag the right way up!

Yes, noticed that myself Leisure… although hard to miss as it was the flag below me.
Don’t get me wrong, I was pleased to see them - a step in the right direction - just want some more authentic, edgy flags like you get at the European clubs.

Good thread.
Look at San Siro tonight. Long way for the Turf to look like that, if ever, but we can have a go can't we?

Long overdue this, no better time than now to start creating a new match day experience . VK wants the Turf to be hell- be rude not to oblige!
Massive flags, including ones that the crowd pass over their heads, new anthem and pre match music designed to build the atmosphere would definitely improve things!

Love these ideas too.
Such an easy win for the club. Really cheap to deliver on. Just need a flag designer, the fans and a few grand I imagine.
Give the fans a much improved experience and Vincent the welcome to hell welcome to hell vibe he’s after.

They were incredible. Like the whole atmosphere, really, but no reason we can’t recreate the flags at least!
Hope Alan was watching

It's fairly straight forward to knock something up on Canva but would be better with a designer of some sort on board. More than happy to collaborate on the words side of things. Get JJ to put his hand in his pocket for some printing and Bob's your uncle.

Remember going as a Family to Wembley v Stockport..... I recall lots of moaning regarding the kids waving flags. It won't catch on. But.....I hope it does.

Helmond supporters had this made when burnley fans went over for their remembrance weekend, something similar for our remembrance day/game would be great.
