My dad took me to Turf Moor for my 7th birthday in 1960.
Massive true Claret ever since. Hitch hiked & Ellen Smith coaches everywhere to away matches.
Be interesting for fans to see how others were first indoctrinated as a Claret from Burnley and elsewhere.

I now live in Bournemouth but went up to Burnley for Monday's game via the Rhondda to pick up my 9 year old grandson. He's now a Claret but has no connection with Burnley, apart from me . It's made him very popular with his Cardiff supporting friends!

Living in Eastbourne now.. no connection to Burnley what so ever.. but following since 94

From 8 miles north of Meileman in Long Preston ... 1st game in the late 60's on TM ... but didn't really start going regularly till the early 90's ...

Got a season ticket within weeks of going back on the Turf and had one ever since (apart from 2004 when I went self employed... found myself going on most weeks so thought sod it and got a season ticket again )

My Niece and Nephew were born and bred in Fleet, Hampshire..Massive Chelsea and Arsenal territory but they are lifelong Clarets. Even through primary school they were never tempted by the "big clubs" nearby..

Also went to my first match with my big brother on my 7th birthday, September 1960.

Born in Burnley General 1962 lived in Colne until 1968 when my dad was offered a job in Whitstable, Kent weaving products for use in osier making. Lived here ever since but moved to Herne Bay in 1999 when Whitstable became too trendy and up its own arse.

Lots of United fans at school but I'd watch Burnley beat Hamburg so when the chance came to go to the Turf v United I went

Born in Rossendale. Moved away as a student then to Radcliffe and back to Rossendale. Dad took me.to first game late 1958. Married a Geordie girl in 1974, also the year of that semi final. Still together

Born in Wisbech (Cambs), raised in Colne / Laneshawbridge. Moved to the States in 1982 (Wisconsin - JJ Watt is a solid dude). Been in California since '85.

First game - them down the road away '63 1-2 (Connelly (2)).

Born in Singapore, so it was obvious I'd be a Claret although, being brought up in Barnoldswick might have a smidgen to do with it.

Clitheroe born and bred,moved up to Northumberland 2 years ago.

Been a Burnley fan for 55 years when I was approximately nine or 10 years old lived most of my life in Southeast England Sussex. 2014 to 20 20 lived in southern Ireland.

People asked me why do you support Burnley because I have no relatives there or ever had no connection whatsoever and I answer that it was the first team that I started liking and cheering on and once it’s in your blood that’s it you stick with the team don’t you.

The first match I went to was Charlton versus Burnley in the 70s Burnley lost two nil and then some crowd trouble.

I really love the team with Leighton James David Thomas et cetera Martin Dobson.

I really enjoyed the dice era and now VK!

I’m so proud to be a Burnley fan even though I have no connection and perhaps shouldn’t be a claret-but I am very proud one.

Now live in W Sussex near Chichester and find the journey to Turf Moor challenging in a day (12 hours driving) but manage to get to local away games

Born in the Burnley area moved away when I joined the Army in 1991, my use name might give away where I now live been there since 2004. 2 of my kids are clarets makes me laugh hearing the Geordie accent singing in my Lancashire home

Lived all my life in Padiham. Mum is from Hertford and dad from St Helens. One of my uncles got me supporting Burnley in 1997

Burnley born, Bank Hall in January 1952, and brought up a stone’s throw from the Turf but now live around two miles away.

First went with my dad and granddad who were both Burnley fanatics. Still four family members with season tickets.

Born in Burnley General, raised in Fence, then in and around Nelson. Moved to East Devon when I was 14 and most recently now living and raising my family near Glastonbury in Somerset!

Born in Kendal , moved to Burnley when I left Royal navy , worked at prestige for 16 years until it shut down then moved to Stratford on Avon , still here UTC.

Born in Colne (Langroyd Hall,) brought up in Barnoldswick and now live in Hornsea East Yorks, (several addresses in-between including Bermuda,) but always a claret since 1959 ( as my user name tells.) Never wavered from being a Claret , my only club.
(I do sometimes wish more credit was given to ;distance fans, who make the club known in other parts of the UK and wider world.)

Born in Belfast, moved to Burnley when I was 8.

Dad came home from work one day with tickets to my first Burnley game, said it was important we went.

We beat Orient and so it all began for me…
