Fell for that trick last time, I'll walk in a shop and buy it for a fraction of the price

Fine but probably not possible to do that in the South, abroad etc.

Those were the days .. when it was still a local paper worth buying.

Save your money folks it’s a shocking shadow of its former self.

Run by three men and dog now. Once one of the best local newspapers around.

Must add it's not the three men and a dog's fault it's so sh*t. They'll be working their proverbial boll*cks off for a pittance. The people who own newspapers and their websitres are utter knobz

I don’t think you realise how good it was until you read old copies. Real quality coverage of Burnley FC with some passionate, quality writers.

Was a shame to see people like Chris Boden left flogging a dead horse and being undermined but that’s how local media has gone sadly.

Quality Journalism as a whole is being severely undermined by the new digital age sadly and it will be to the detriment of society if there is no acclaim & prestige in print - Tik Tok generation, clickbait headlines, deliberate gutter tier content designed to polarise (more comments = better social media engagement), mindless consumerism & 'targets' paramount over less objectively quantifiable quality pieces.

It's a sad state of affairs all round

Don’t forget my friends, we (Burnley Civic Trust) hold hundreds of thousands of negatives from the Burnley Express editions, 1960’s to 90’s. We were gifted them when the newspaper moved from Bull Street. A number of volunteers are busy digitising them and uploading them on our site bcthic.org. Volunteers are welcome if you fancy helping in this worthwhile cause. We have a growing number of BFC images there, as well as many more of general Burnley and district interest. I just ask one thing, if you use an image, acknowledge Burnley Civic Trust, and if you use one for commercial gain, eg book publishing, a modest fee is expected to assist with running costs. We are a registered charity. Thanks.

On Weds Mrs. CM bought a Lancashire Telegraph for me I think from a garage in Nelson. She said she bought it too read up on the victory parade on Tuesday.

Not a sausage in it about Burnley fc, just a lot of moaning and crap about those that inhabited Ewood Park. First time I have looked at that rag for years; it will be many more before I read one again.

Lancs Live also bad for this. More adverts than text - just copy and paste job off other websites.

Bought the Championship winning one for circa £5. Took me a week to get round to reading the important bits, which took only 5 minutes.

Won't be buying another one
