Any substance in this with WJ leaving Forest to take over our Academy?

I think Joyce had a top reputation at Man United when he managed their reserves.

Takes after his father in that respect. Walter was very well thought of when it came to youth football and development in the 90s.

Walter was heavily involved in reserve/youth team football for years after he finished playing. I saw him numerous times down at Gawthorpe with other teams.

Correct Tony, on further reflection maybe Warren is interested in the vacant U21 coach job which would be more up his street ad he is a coach not an admin man as the Academy Managers post would be.

In the away game yes. I wonder if he still goes by the nickname Juicy?

Weirdly I was listening to Robbie Fowlers podcast yesterday and he was interviewing Paul Scholes. Scholes was full of praise for Joyce and said his fitness training is what got him out of retirement

Brassy still lives locally. Bring them both home!

"still"? I only ask because me and my brother once followed him home until somewhere around the Harrogate area after a game. He just happened to be the car in front - we weren't stalking him.

I was talking to Brassy at the last u21 game we played at Leyland. I’d assumed he was still reasonably local given he’s at a good number of our games there.

He has worked alongside Andy Farrell and has also been the loans manager since early in the season. Confirmed last week that he’s staying permanently but they have advertised the u21 coach role.

Farrell going back to the U18s or leaving the club completely?

I’ve no idea. Good lad is Faz, been with the u21s now since starting with Michael Jolley.

If you couldn't get past him then that's a good performance from Brassy.

Each age group has 2 coaches, a lead coach & an assistant.
Faz was assistant to Micheal Jolley then assistant to Michael Jackson, he than took charge of the 21’s all last season with some help from Charlie Adam’s. But the U21’s Lead Coach Position is now being advertised.

Has Ross Wallace been doing the 18s this season whilst Farrell has been with 21s

Andy Farrell has been with the under-21s for around seven or eight years now having previously worked with Terry Pashley at under-18 level. Pash started by working with Michael Jolley. He's not been involved at u18 level since.
When Pash stepped down in 2015 to go on the scouting side, we'd no lead coach for a year, Blake was doing it mainly. But Michael Duff took over in 2016 for a year, then we had Danny Cadamarteri and then Tony Philliskirk. Ross Wallace now supports Philliskirk.

Hasn't Farrell been at Burnley since 1987 when he signed from Colchester? Only a few years out when playing for Wigan and Rochdale I think. Or am I wrong again?

He left the club in 1994, his last game for us was the play-off final at Wembley against Stockport. He continued his playing career elsewhere and then worked for the community scheme at Burnley. He returned to the club probably around 2007 to work with Pash.
