Tonight’s Football
Hoping for a Leicester win,but they’ve got that horrible chant that’s like Crystal Palace’s ,hope we don’t adopt it.

I’ve never liked going to Leicester since they won the league and got above themselves. And those horrible happy clappy things too.

Leicester’s master plan to play a centre back who can barely move doesn’t look to be paying off.

Look like they have no fight in them Leicester. Reminds me of some matches when we had Laws in charge.

2 shots, 2 goals, I think.
Jones is becoming a top player and not just because he’s bagged two.

Could get embarrassing for Leicester. Looks like one from Leeds, Everton and Forest to join Southampton and Leicester.

Re: Tonight’s Football
Surprised at the booing and general lack of patience from the Leicester fans. They’re **** and playing Liverpool, what were they expecting?
They won the league in a freak season where their squad played out of its skin and the usual challengers all had off seasons/managerial issues. I’m not downplaying the achievement, it was absolutely unbelievable but there were circumstances to it. I find it baffling the change in entitlement since that freak season that the fans have undergone. They’re slowly making their way back to being what they’ve been pretty much all of my life (barring that 3/4 years under O’Neil and then the 3/4 years under Ranieri/Rogers) - a yo yo club with similar ambitions to ourselves.

Re: Tonight’s Football
The booing is ridiculous. You have to wonder what planet they are on. They’ve overachieved for a few years and the expectation level has gone through the roof.

The free kick was just a short pass, then TAA scored a curler from that pass.

I can't stand Leicester but I do appreciate how the owners have refused to throw good money after bad.
It just shows you what happens when the money runs out.

Re: Tonight’s Football
Tbf they had a brilliant squad when they won the league, a group of players who all peaked in the same season. Slowly got dismantled and replaced with squad fillers and aging players. There's only one way they could go , hastened by the owners lack of cash.jedi_master wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 9:19 pm

Similarities with our friends down the road for Leicester? Main benefactor dies, club gets passed down to family who aren't really interested.

International air travel is, generally speaking, getting back towards pre pandemic levels.
It will be interesting to see when and if the considerable funds required to turn this mess around are found in the next few seasons.

I watched something about the owners the other night that suggested they have severe problems and are struggling (all things are relative) to keep all the balls in the air.evensteadiereddie wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 10:13 pmOr, if they have, Leicester are not the priority at the moment.
