Luton vs Coventry

Can’t help but think that’s one of next season’s relegation spaces taken.

Who are you cheering on? I’m torn between them.

I’ll probably root for Luton for no reason better than because it’ll help our apparent pursuit of Gyokeres.

100%, I am glad its going to be one of those clubs though, should help them financially for a few years and their loyal fans deserve a year in the top flight.
Not bothered either way who goes up, possibly Luton if I was pushed.

Pretty evenly matched really.
It'll be whoever wants it more on the day, as is so often the case.

As long as it's a good game, not really fussed who wins.

Cov for preference, but will be happy with Luton.

Have a friend in Cov and have not missed a Burnley match there since their relegation from the Prem in 2001. We always make a day out of it.

From a purely selfish POV, I was hoping Boro/Sunderland would go up. If Leeds get relegated, other than Newcastle, the Sheffield and Manchester games are now the closest

Id like Luton to go up. Would be great having Kenilworth Rd in the Premier League. And I want Cov to have to sell Gyökeres

I wasn't aware of it until I saw it on here yesterday that Luton are committed to spending around £10 million on Kenilworth Rd imminently just to get it to an acceptable standard to meet PL requirements, plus they're starting a brand new stadium elsewhere in the town later in the year, so they're going to have a hell of a lot to do when it comes to finding money to upgrade the team.

Has a feel of a mid 80s cup final

As much as I’d have like Sunderland to go up for my mate (and for it to be a night out in the north east) I’m glad it’s these two in the final as I can see either one of them being in the bottom 3 at the end of next season

Luton for my playoff bet! I need Luton, Barnsley and Stockport County to win promotion.

I'd love to see Luton go up just for the faces of the players at city etc when they turn up at Kenilworth Road

Love to see the faces of the whingeing prima donnas of Chelsea etc, getting off the coach at KR

And maybe Arteta shuddering when he looks at that stand that seems like several portakabins pushed together.

No real preference on who goes up apart from the fact that McNally plays for Coventry, so i wish him well.

Better one of these two though rather than Sun / Mid.
Will make next season a lot more interesting with either team there amongst the big boys. Expect whoever gets promoted will struggle come Christmas with injuries etc.
Breath of fresh air though for a change.

Watford sacking the manager who then takes over at their rivals and on to the playoff final. The only thing more humiliating than that would be your rivals winning the title at your home ground.

Luton are more deserving of promotion but can see Coventry nicking it as they have a few players capable of individual quality - Gyokeres, Hamer etc.

If Luton play like the did the other night vs Sunlan I can only see one winner. Cov were lucky to get past a team nearly as inneffectual as themselves last night.

I’d love Luton to go up as I feel that’s a real Phoenix story there, and with no financial backing of note. They even had Nathan bloody Jones jilt them twice and have still managed it. Some going.

Without sounding disrespectful, either is good for Burnley though. I firmly believe whichever comes up will finish in the bottom three next season (albeit Luton would pick up some eye opening giant killers at Kenilworth Road I expect). Neither squad is going to cope and they won’t have the money or pull to sign the players to compete. Fabulous for either club regardless of course.

A year ago I wouldn’t have cared, either teams are unlikely to heavily invest so it’s good news for us next season.

However I’ve developed quite a dislike for Coventry this season based on their fans comments online and the fan who tried to fight me and my 75 year old dad on Harry Potts way after the game.

Yes, I've always thought that their fans have a bit of a deluded sense of entitlement.
They were never much of a club until the 60s and only made it to the top division in 1967. (When I started watching football they were never really considered a club of any significance0
tbf, they had a good 30 year stretch in the top tier without really threatening to become a top team, and since their relegation they've been a bit of basket case.
I don't think Luton or their fans are as pretentious, and as others have said it would be great to see the likes of Chelsea turning up at Kenilworth rd!
I don't dislike them as a club, but I don't see them as being a top flight club in the way that many do.

Luton kicked their way past the Mackems and Coventry played well last night
I hope they go up and we can get some serious cash for McNally.

I was happy with Luton, Coventry or Sunderland, and remain ambivalent to which of the two finalists goes up. I just didn't want Boro to have any glory.

I will be watching the final next week and simply hope it's a cracking game.

Tickets went on sale at 10am for Luton to the first group of fans and they've sold about 95% of their allocation in the space of an hour and a half. Mental.

If basing it on fan behaviour then I’d go for Coventry given we came under threat at Luton.

Luton, they are the real fairytale story unlike Wrexham.
Also, would love to see away fans call our ground tinpot after they visit Kenilworth Road.
