Only read the bare bones of this story but I always end up wondering why it becomes a chase, rather than a drive?
If Diana and Dodi had got in their car and driven home safely in Paris they would have been followed and some pictures would have been taken and then they would have arrived at their destination and would still be here today.
The accident happened because they tried to outpace motorcycles in a city centre, which is surely impossible?? Having a driver who may have been drinking didn't help either of course.

If you don't start racing, the danger disappears.

H and M say they were involved in a "near catastrophic chase" apparently. Surely, if they just drive home at normal speeds there is no danger at all?
Celebrities throughout history have had to put up with their pictures being taken against their will. It goes with the territory. Just smile and wave and go about your day. The photographers might even get bored. Turning it into "dramatic car chases" is just what they want and leads to good pictures.
It also probably helps their narrative of being hounded and persecuted. There are far bigger stars in the US who don't seem to get involved in dramatic car chases.

The taxi driver whose car they were in has said that although they were followed, there was no high speed chase, it would not have been possible in the streets of New York. H&M just keep lying.

quite the opposite. harry is actually trying to have his own security team and lose the british protection and this is being resisted by the palace.

How come there is no video footage? Has anyone seen any on social media or the news? Surely people on the streets would have filmed it on their mobiles.

I don’t know why people have such strong views on them?

You must have missed my question mark in the post, under your rage, about people supposedly raging at some attention seekers.

Just logged back in and see there are a few responses.
It wasn't meant as a dig at H & M (not this time anyway).
My main point was not really about Harry but rather about "car chases".
It is only a chase if the first vehicle makes it one. Go drive normally and everyone walks away fine.

Anybody who can wind up Piers Morgan as much as H & M seem to do are alright in my book.

The press (and this is normally individual journalists) pick a side based on who they believe is to blame for the fallout. The vast majority, but not all of them, have sided with Willam & Kate. What else is there to it than that?
