Yup

Its not that long ago that we had Bolton fans waiting for their coach at Galgate waving 10 pound notes at us when we were in financial trouble and they were in the prem

One ex-Claret on the touchline, one playing and one on the bench. Also one current Claret on loan and playing.
v
A team ten years ahead of us.

Barnsley for me hopefully.

Yes. We are all Barnsley.

Anyone supporting Bolton is a Rovers fan. You can't argue with logic.

Be an interesting one if Barnsley win.

There's an odd affinity down there where Rotherham fans cuddle up to The Blades but most Barnsley favour Owls.

So many reasons to back Barnsley over Bolton tonight. Duff, best away end in the country, proper old school club and makes for a great final v Wednesday. And that’s before we even get to reasons we want Bolton to lose.

I remember their collective smugness when the 12 goal legend dumped us for the club 10 years in front of us. They should have been wound up like Bury.

I'd have thought Bolton fans would have filled their end.
Did Barnsley limit their allocation, like Blackburn did with us?

My partner is from Bolton so I have to tread carefully.
But she's out with her mates on a birthday bash tonight.

In the tone of Lee Hendrie, I've got to say Barnsley are leading 1-0.

I hope this isn't going to become a thing.
It's so small-minded and petty.

Is there any reason given for Bolton's reduced allocation?

If it does become a thing, surely the league will act and stipulate that unless police expressly forbid it, then full allocations (in terms of percentage of capacity) have to be made available. It's purely and simply aimed at stopping away supporters creating an atmosphere which might help lift their club. Petty doesn't even cover it. Worked out well the other week down the road I noticed!!!

Robbing normal fans the opportunity to be there in case a full away end gives them any advantage I'll wager. Its pathetic and deserves to fail.

Depends which Wednesday. Hopefully it will be the version that lost 0-4 to Peterbrough.

What are the rules for back passes? Just seen Bolton awarded an indirect free kick due to Barnsley keeper handling the back pass, but handling the back pass denied Bolton a certain goal, not sure if further punishment is handed out but an argument the Barnsley keeper should have seen red.

Chucking yourself on the floor whilst handballing it gets you a FK in L1?

Not far off champ standards tbh but that was pretty bad

Not a shot on target in the second half and barely close to having one. It's been really poor.

I know it's a few years ago but they really were a smug bunch for a few years whilst basically cheating, spending way above their means.

They should've dropped further TBH.

Can't be doing with 'em

Cmon Barnsley.

The Barnsley v Wednesday game at Oakwell was one of the games of the season, hopefully the final is similar. Bolton were absolutely awful tonight. Like they were playing for penalties but didn’t realise they were losing.
