Always associate The Best with going on the Turf as a kid, walking into the ground with Tina Turner blaring, still associate it now.

RIP

I had the privilege of seeing her at the NEC when David Bowie joined her on stage and also saw her at Woburn Abbey, probably the nicest setting ever for a concert.

Brilliant live, absolutely brilliant.

Difficult to choose one song but I’ll go for Proud Mary because a Tina Turner concert wouldn’t have ever been complete without it.

Sound tracks of our youth moving little by little to the great juke box in the sky.

RIP Tina Turner.

She will always remind me of the early 90s ‘walk out’ music on The Turf.

Superb vocal artist , brilliantly re-invented herself in the 80’s. “It’s only love” with Bryan Adams almost perfect live rock duet
RIP TT

Walked away from Ike Turner’s violence and abuse with only 36 cents in her pocket.

A huge star and a great person.

Love "Tonight" with David Bowie. It's on Ytube.
Raunchy as hell and, far more importantly, immensely talented.
I saw her at the NEC, Private Dancer Tour, absolutely superb.
What a gal.

For me her/Ike"s best were the Tangerine recordings; Dust My Broom and Beauty Is Just Skin Deep.

Likewise at Nelson Imp . Sadly never managed to see her live again. A true entertainer who will be sadly missed. I am sure her songs remind many people of certain times in their lives

It really hit me and saddened me when I woke up to this news this morning.
Tina Turner had a very tough childhood and as everyone knows her husband was to put it mildly very abusive towards her.
What an absolute legend!!!
RIP Tina

Yes I was there what a show. What a band. Strobe lights when Tina and the Ikettes did their thing. Never seen em before. The unlikeliest comeback ever when she re-emerged with those classy pop songs in the 80s
