Car Storage - Lincolnshire

After 20 years or so I finally got myself my dream car (AC Cobra contination), but 2 weeks in managed to have a bit of an accident and now she needs a new shell. The garage who built her years ago still exist and have agreed to repair, but I need somewhere near Grantham to store it from when I deliver to them until the new shell and paint work is done, could be a month. If anyone happens to know of a garage, barn etc. I could put her in please let me know!

Can no-one help this poor person out? Surely somebody must have an empty garage in Grantham.

No Garage there. It's on North Parade, so double-yellows, can't even park outside.

You would think somebody who is affluent (can afford the internet and obviously far more) and use it (post on here) would be able to use google.
Or am I over estimating him/her?

Or could it be the "look at me syndrome" ?

The post would have read better if it was…..”Anyone know where I can store a car near Grantham”
He was bound to upset someone whilst mentioning that his car was a bit special. To quote Morressey….”We hate it when our friends become successful….”
Personality, I found the poster’s embellishments interesting and I hope he finds some good storage and that the repairs are successful.

I'm sure you could find a farm perhaps in the middle of Lincolnshire?
I know an old guy, Tony, who might help you out.
Be very careful entering the property though.... :o

It’s a fair ask, my generously breasted 22 year old plump bottomed Venezuelan girlfriend is also looking to store a car in Lincolnshire.

I’d look myself but I’m booked into the peni5 reduction clinic. Again.

I've finally bought the super yacht of my dreams. However, she does need a refit and the pool enlarging.

She is 105m long, beam 19m and draught 5.5m.
Does anyone know of a suitable dry dock prefererably on the south coast?

My family and I, plus our 11 guests will be back from our Caribbean cruise on Sept 4th 2023. I need to have her in around then, so that the £0.75m refit can be completed before our Christmas cruise.

I mean, I'd look myself, but I thought some of you wouldnt mind doing it for me.

Let me know on here if you can help.

Racing green looks pretty good on my classic aston martin.

Anyone got a garage near newhaven that I can park it in so that the police can't find it? I've got it in one if the local dry docks at the moment but it stands out like a sore thumb up against all those stolen motor cruisers.

I think the insecurity lies in anybody considering the lad's plea and information sharing about his car as bragging, thinly disguised or otherwise.

And that's the point. A quick Google reveals several options.

Why has op not commented further?

I remember once commenting on a post, about the state of taxi drivers in NYC... Someone said I was bragging about having been there.

Now imagine being so backward and **** kicking that you think someone who's left their home town and gone somewhere you can fly to for as little as 300 quid and having caught a taxi while they were there as "bragging"

Anyway I hope the OP is trolling cos it's caught a few of them. Either way it's a good read!

OP - I’ve used classic car storage many times before but in different area.

You could try Store store store as they have containers which yours should fit into, or Classic classics at Kirton Lindsey.

Further afield The Autocar Storage Co at Huntingdon.

It would be a rather bizarre time to brag about anything, thinly or otherwise, having just admitted to trashing it to near destruction.

Personally I'm pleased that a fellow Claret achieved his dreams(if only for a brief period), and wish him well with the repairs.

If he’d have just started a thread on cars I’m sure some posters would be more than happy to discuss them with him.

It’s the bizarre way he went about it by raising a random question about car storage in an area not even anywhere close to Burnley that is frustrating.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but bringing it somewhat back on topic, does anyone have any recommendations for classic car storage around the Manchester/Lancs area? I'm storing in Leeds at the moment but it's a pain being that far away.

Have you tried a local advert, or casually chatting to a neighbour. There are lots of folk who have garages and don't use them. I needed somewhere for mine for a couple of months. Someone put me in touch with an old dolly who let me have the garage for an acceptable sum. Safe and secure.
You just have to add an extra 20 mins for the chat when you are taking it out :D

Well, I'm in central Manchester at the moment and garages are quite rare in these parts. :) If anyone knows of any garages going spare then please do let me know! Happy to pay of course.

Reminds me of a fella lived corner of Moorland Rd and Gainsborough Ave who bought a ludicrous sports car having won a few quid iirc. Think he took it out once, lost control of it, and then it spent subsequent years under a cover on his driveway
